Computer and Games Shops

  • chips computer shop on the high street. Helpfull staff
  • can't remember its names but its opposite peacocks in the highstreet
  • There is this pretty cool store near the pound shop at the end of the high street (Chips or something like that) and it looks pretty well connected. If not hello PC world!
  • New shop called Bits of Bytes or something just opened up - same as Computer Exchange, where Hollywood Nails was.
  • OOOh, Blockbusters has a game shop inside it now. Thats pretty damn cool.
  • if u want games go to GAME in bromley
  • GAME in glades
  • well there is dixons, woolworths, whsmiths, argos. But they dont stock much and when its there dont but it go somewere else coz you will most likely buy it cheaper and you will get a better format reach because if you wana get stuff for your x-box forget it go some where else
  • Nowt.
  • Since Terri's and Computer Leisure Centre have disappeared you have no choice.
  • None, since the last good one was shut down
  • Can't say I've noticed any. Go to Bromley or Wollies, Smiths etc.
  • There's a couple of computer games shops, and they're always full of Kappa Kids trying to look hard playing Mario Kart.
  • Well, unless you mean Twister.... :) No, I mean there used to be the Computer Leisure Centre, but apparently the owner went mad, so now it's closed.
  • Computer Leisure Center, but they over charge. Get a PCFormat in WHSmiths then look for the game you want in the mail order adverts. They are much much cheaper.
  • Terri's closed down years ago, so you've now got to go to the Computer Leisure Centre down the far end of the High Street (away from the war memorial). Woolworths has started to sell all of its MD and SNES games off cheap... W H Smiths do stock some.

LAN Parties, Tournaments, LAN Game Cafes, WiFi Meets, PSP/DS Meets

  • No way - Orpington hasn't discovered the internet yet. Although I saw a Internet Cafe in Bromley Maccy D's. Odd and risky - bet those computers will be nicked once the likes of Jemmott and Baker get a whiff of it.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Orpington. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Orpington.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
