Cancer Research
Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Green Man!! Can't stay away from the place. When skint and in need of a local night, the whole gang comes down. Not full of kids these days. A lot of us in our mid twenties to thrirties returning...
seamus or the green man, both pretty shite. gd nights can be had however.
Greenman and Seamus's - Both teeming with remarkably young patrons (none under 18 though, of course). Never set foot in these pubs if it is still light, they ain't exactly nice places. But music okish, talent is good and a fun nite if you're skint or can't get into a proper club.
For proper clubs get into a taxi and get upto Watford (Destiny), Stevenage or Batchwood, or you can hop on a train to london. Night buses get u back to Barnet, then you can get a cab for £7 back to Potters Bar, not bad if they are a few of you.
Seamus O' Butchers... one of the greatest pubs/clubs of our time!
dance music!- hahaha -man that stuff sucks- go to any pub in potters bar and you will hear that crap being played. we want CLASSIC ROCK nights or live bands. not dance music for little kiddies on tablets.
green man is open till 1 on the weekends two hours later than anywhere else if u want an extra hour or two there is batchwood in st albans, destiny in watford or earos is prob best in enfield
EROS- Enfield good on a monday night, but the rest of the time there's too much attitude.
Dance music sucks, why can't we get some decent rock bands round here,
instead of the same tired old dance crap,
One has never been ones self, but me hears (and me hears a lot of things) that there is a (townie)'club'in the Wylliotts Centre called Stimulation which is pretty darn good! Actually, it is not a club as such but a under 16 disco, but lets just amuse the townies/rude girls for a while before shattering their illusions of 'the club'. umm yh anyway, it is on a Friday i dont know times etc. Call up the Wylliotts centre. Apparently they do promotions on different weeks. A freind of mine went and apparently the whole night out cost her about £20. BTW, i do not recommend this club for Greebos etc.. just doing my bit for the townie population, but hey being a bit hypocritical as i am thinking about going myself.
SEAMUS!!!best place-u gotta go there!!
Old Owens - you have to be an 'old owenian'to frequent it. It's not bad in there, they've got a huge TV - good for wanting to stay out and watch late nite/early morning boxing on!!
Geeeee eeeeer (Greenman) Home of many happy drunks!
Um...no, PB is a dump. There isnt't anywhere. AJs closed down ages ago, and frankly I was too scared to go in anyway
AJ's sometimes have DJ EZ, Mike Ruff Cut Lyoyd, Carl Tuff Nuff Brown, Mikkee B and MC CKP down on Friday nights.
Old Owens. The essential place to visit in Potters Bar. If you ever go to Potters bar, make sure you go here. You wont regret it. Their resident DJ is on a par with Pete Tong and EZ.
The closest thing to a club is the green man.
Live Music Venues

the fake irish pub up the high st. has bands now and then, and the wyllyots centre has bands from 40 years ago mainly.....how disappointing... still it's an old folks town mostly
not many bands in potters bar or anywhere around really.
alexadra place (ally pally to most people) where most stuff happens- big names like marilyn manson playing there soon.
the faux irish pub,in the high street has live bands now and then
Closet place to Potters Bar is Wembley arena if you want to hear decent bands. The Wylliotts do have some tribute bands and stuff, which is always good for light entertainment.
Geeeee eeeeer (Greenman) On weekends theres a couple of DJs sometimes you get quality like Anthony Atcherley (pants) doing a special do. You simply must go there especially women. We need more women!!!!!

The Wylliotts centre is the nearest thing you'll get to a music venue. Unfortunately the most famous performer you will get is Bobby Davro.
