Skateboarding Spots

  • skate park behind Furzefield
  • wyllots car park, nice surface few ledges.
  • yeah rite theve been comendered by townies the baseball capped desise
  • furzfield field
  • skatepark is gonna be built pretty soon- end of june 2004 they sed.
  • there is a skateboard park planned to be built in furzefeild by summer next year. and u missed out that beloved williots centre and ladbrook school. williots is great for beginners through to more advanced skaters, with some bins usually full of all sorts of intresting items to ollie etc. and ladbrook has a range of stair sets (a 3, 4, 5, and a damn impossible 6.) plus a couple of gaps. go ladbrook at weekends though- its a primary school. williots is near the station and ladbrook is near the top of the walk.
  • Only decent skate spot round Potters Bar is the Furzefield Centre and its surrounding park. Nothing much there but its good for jammy jamming. Also riding round the the streets while old people shout at you is not only fun but mentally rewarding, especially once you have mowed down a rather irratating pensioner.
  • Fairly near train station: two roundabouts and look on left: Extremely rough sounding mini ramp.

Skateboard Shops

  • st albans has conspiracy, but like most skate shops you will have to climb thru a plethora of hoodies and other fashion items.
  • barnet
  • apparently the skateparks gonna have a mini shop under the miniramp
  • i go to legends in watford but most people order their stuff from www.routeone.co.uk

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Potters Bar. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Potters Bar.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
