• apparently there is a brookmans park and potters bar website somewhere
• bmx tracks or skate parks
• the fact that half the town is being turned into pensioner residences has led to the closing down of local businesses such as independant petrol retailers and pubs. Tescos who said they would never sell petrol or be open 24 hours and reneged on that as soon as was feasible, Who got a backhander for that deal?? you used to be able to get just about anything you needed in the local shops from roofing nails to mens clothes, now mostly all you can get is takeaway food or a haircut. the dearth of the small local shopkeepers in general. the lack of adults on the streets after 9pm, where do all the adults go?? is there a secret club they attend via underground tunnels?????
• My parents came here in 1953, long before the M25, the Canada Life ugly building and yobs who hang around station. My mum still likes PB, my sister and brothers have moved into their owns homes in PB as I have and I must say, for all it's faults, I like Potters Bar too!!
• this used to be a lovely little place when i first came here(1970) but sadly seems to have hit terminal decline lately with too much council expenditure on facilities for Borehamwood
• No Night Bus comes here, though there is a petition going somewhere to get the N20 route extended from High Barnet.
• A recent visit after several years abscence revealed many ugly, out of scale buildings with no relevance to the street or people. And what's with all the video cameras?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
