Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

  • TRINITY after junction on a tuesday. theres a good mix in there and its real busy. plays some good indie rock as well. Rat and parrot on a friday is busy and has a resident DJ.
  • Trinity is ok but overrated, the rayners is good for local bands and ned hylands in north harrow occasionally has crap acts on
  • Well The Silver Trumpet down near wealdstone is an atrocious excuse for a pub, but if you fancy some drunken kareoke on tuesday nights theres nowhere else to go but there. And everyone there's a pensioner and deaf so they will all clap. Trinity's great for music
  • The trinity on a tuesday night is the place to be. the nights called 'the indie-credibles' playin all the best indie rock n roll tunes from past and present.
  • Oscars is crap now. Why do they bother?? It was good this time last year!! What changed??? I hope we get another good bar soon!!
  • I hear the Garden Centre in central Harrow throws wild raves on Friday nights..
  • TIME IS A PILE OF CRAP! I WENT THERE TO SEE THE SEEN, (WHO ARE OK) AND IT WAS FULLA ASHOLE TOWNIES
  • harrow has no clubs but a thing called time aint been but it looks small and to expensive for wot it is,however the pubs are great on friday nights dont try and go o'neils if u r under 21 they wont let u in.
  • WRC - had some good gig's once upon a time.... ah those wos the days Trinity- just the place to go if u can get in, junior won't let me in now! Defiance play there sometimes, why do the play frantic? i swear that song aint too popular with peeps!
  • Time----they had the seen thats the only reason they get a mention---
  • One thing that majorly annoys me about Harrow is the blatant lack of nightlife. The unfortunate Club Moonlight was replaced by an Indian family club called Mehrfil, so Time Nightclub in Central Harrow is the only remaining one! Not recommended unless you wanna watch spotty try-hards in Hackett tops and too much gold jewellery sleaze onto tarts with overplucked eyebrows and badly-bleached hair.
  • Destiny, WATFORD...was PROPA BO till the little people took over and they crammed in every wannabe rude girl insight! Music is good, but I must get a fake I.D for the over 18's.....
  • the george in pinner tends to have a gud craic, n as 4 clubs usually destiny in watford. but i tend 2 go 2 gigs, there woz a wkd one at bull and gate in kentish town last week, with defiance headlining.
  • Now this is really funny. Harrow is devoid of anywhere worth going to, anyone who trys to tell you otherwise is a big fibber or drinking methylated spirits or something. Try brick lane instead, and time is a bag of shite.
  • hahahaha harrow is a disgrace, the only club you'll in harrow is golf club round your head.theres nothing there but still theres always a fight.the only place is trinity on a thursday as they play drum n bass.apart that a load of crap and everyone has attitude.dont even go to watford,it has alot of clubs but the same attitude.you wanna go into london or if your prepared to travel,go to milton keynes
  • The Gardening Centre down that road somewhere in the middle of Harrow.
  • the hand in hand in pinner
  • hahahah. Dont make me laugh. Time is a waste of, Trinity has a late licence but certainly isnt a club, Rat & Parrot also has a late licence but is visited by estate boys you'd rather run over and VIP Bar, or whatever the fuck it's called, has no VIPS.
  • Come out and Play at Time, every wednesday £2 i think. Metal (nu&old), punk, hip hop, hardcore. ect.
  • There's the one formerly known as The Bridge and surprisingly is on the bridge heading towards Wealdstone. Don't know what it's called now, but bullet proof vest advisable. If that doesn't appeal to you, cough up £15 and get a taxi to Watford.
  • Go to Watford or London - we have a train to get there and cabs are still allowed to bring us back!
  • Time's possibly the smallest club in the country but it's ok for a laugh if you can't be assed to trek up to watford. Go on Thursdays (carwash), Fridays or Saturdays (garage), NOT wednesdays unless you're into the 16 year old losers scene. Trinity is total pants unless your a goth or somethin. The Junction's ok to sit outside wiv mates in summer + it's got cheap drinks but for a night out...just don't! Yates's is good as is the R&P, but make sure you get in the Rat b4 11 cos they're w*nkers about that. Open late tho. Fat Controler's ok + Moons is well cheap (but no music.) Oscars is good to start off the night on a thursday (student night = £1.50 4 any drink!).
  • nil of note. the trinity is a glorified bar run by pnancy boys with their heads up their own bottoms. Time.slappers and misfits who can't be bothered to get off their arses and go somewhere decent......like that place near the bridge in Wealdstone.
  • Where?! Excellent, so someone has knocked down all the shite coffeeshops, filled in the skate park, knocked down the sorry excuse for a shopping centre St. Georges and built thenight club Harrow has been waiting for!(HW)
  • TIME for a good fight. The Trinity if you like somewhere with it's head up it's own arse.
  • Time in Harrow is the depths of crapness- NEVER go unless you really want a crap nite.
  • I would like to defend Yates in Harrow although it aint the best nite out ive ever had, the atmosphere is gd and i think we need to be reminded of the sayin- "its what u make it"
  • in harrow their is a club called "TIME" well every now and then they have these set days for say 70's and 80's music or club music its alrite i wouldnt say its the best but hay its HARROW i think that says it all! In watford there is "DESTINY" and "BAR REEZAR". Bar reezar tonight are having "SO SOLID CREW" down their playing live!
  • erm well i never get in so im off to the forum! (kentish town)
  • Time- Cheesy tiny club but funnily enought looksa HUGE when your plastered, plays a bit of everything from garage to steps costs about £8-10 to get in but its not to far away, so its kool.
  • Time: Opposite NatWest in the center of Harrow. Wednesday nights is the day to arrive. Open from 10:30 till 2:00am. Ska/Punk/Rock/Metal night. Even if it's not your 'scene' the atmosphere is amazing, and the people are sound. The Junction: Used to be called The Firkin, to those old skool persons. It's changed since the old days, it has karaoke on Sunday eves, and a bloke spinnin' choonz on thurs eves...
  • rubbish for any alternative/rock clubs. try london instead.
  • Moonlight is the size of a semi - detached house. Time is even smaller.
  • only chance of going to a club near harrow has to be heading out to costa del watford. Girls almost naked and loads of lads walking around on heat. Most people look like they are a product of inbreeding.
  • Tudros used to be the only club and it is long gone. Harrow has always been terrible for after hours nightlife - something that needs to be addressed. Watford is collecting all of Harrow's nightclub money!
  • Clubs, Harrow, now this cack hole has a few late night venues, I've seen proper clubs in my time and never seen one in Harrow. But for the sake of saying, there is Time - no trainers, no caps, "bung us yer fiver and have a nice night" jobbie. Trinity late night venue, some live bands, I remember 100% - great! This small hot crowded place has character and a reputation, nicely watered down beer too. O'Neills is probably the better atmposphere out of the lot.
  • CLUB MOONLIGHT-has remarkable young patrons and noone goes there anymore. It used to be quite popular but after the council shut them down cos of fighting and CRUZE PROMOTIONS stopped promoting there cos its abit dry people stopped going. Now its gonna be over 21s and empty!! TIME-quite good CRUZE PROMOTIONS might hold a rave there CRUZE PROMOTIONS are the best promotors in harrow they hold all the good raves that everyone goes to.No one really goes to any one elses parties!
  • oscars pub next to the cumberland is good and the staff are friendly and the music is wicked!!
  • CLUB MOONLIGHT, present 'R.U.M.P' every Friday from 9pm-3am !! with a licensed bar untill 2am. Playing the very best in House & Garage and also R'n'B. Strictly no caps or Trainers. OVER 21's.
  • There is now Time in Harrow, have no idea how good or bad it is. Have heard a lot of people go in and then out quite soon after. Tried to get in once, only shirts collars trousers and smart shoes allowed (ie Townies only). Also be careful not to insult the fat stained-shirted bloke dribbling with the bouncers - he is the owner. They will not let you in without a collar on your shirt no matter how may times you tell them its French Connection.
  • Yate's looked nice.
  • Trinity isn't bad.
  • The most popular club is that which caters for people who like a lot of chocolate on their biscuit.
  • Club Moonlight is the only remotely good club in the area
  • Trinty on Friday nights, (next to the Red Lantern).
  • At the Moment there is no night clubs in Harrow. But in Mid Febuary/March, a new and improve Night Clubs is going to be open. Much better the Zeniths, Leisure Lounge, Lime Lights and many other clubs. This place has had a total face life and meet all the requirement for a good night club. Also they have a wide range of drinks and cocktail for the drinkers. Also they are provide a food service too. They have invested £££ on the best lighting and sound equipments. Also they have lined up some brilliant D.J. The Place is call Club MoonLight, I hope you can come and visit the place, it is located right oppisite the Harrow Civic Centre. For any enquires, please E-mail at R4MZ@hotmail.com
  • the majority of local sixth formers - st gregorys and st dominics tend to go to Parnells on the 183 route
  • There is not any night clubs in Harrow (Teddy's in Wealdstone cannot be categorised as a night club - it is the worst hole in Harrow) But there are a few pubs that have DJ's in. The Trinity bar has House Music, Indie, Jazz etc. Also The Victory in Pinner has a DJ everynight and the place gets packed.

Live Music Venues

  • Trinity occasionaly has live music for big bands hop on the train to central london
  • Trinity bar has bands from time to time upstairs in a space for 50 people.
  • The rayners
  • Wembley Rugby Club is a shamebles but you HAVE to love it
  • local bands play most Friday nights at the rugby club in Harrow weald, about a fiver to get in.
  • Trinity bar, or VIP before it closed down
  • WEMBLEY RUGBY CLUB! so crap but o so fun
  • The Wembley Rugby Club in Harrow Weald hosts a couple of college rock Iron Maiden/Green Day wannabe bands every other Friday night (more commonly known as The Gig), but let's face it - no-one goes for the music. The punters are made up completely of Harrow and Hillingdon high school alternative kids, so unless you know someone you might find it pretty intimidating your first time.
  • Can I just say, the Star (formally the Fornax and Firkin) is a good venue for live bands. And stop putting 100% down. They're extremely talented guys,(who just happen to be great friends of mine). Also they introduced The Frantix to the venue. They're two of the best bands in the area at the moment!
  • In harrow? You jest! Although Cotton casino from Acid mothers temple did play a solo set at the wretched trinity bar.
  • wembley rugby club
  • Trinity- lots of stuff Wrc Uni campus- that place rocks.
  • Trinity, Middlesex uni campus WRC (wembly rugby club, shut down now thoug or sut)
  • I think Trinity occasionally showcases new talent.
  • Trinity for drum and bass and hardcore. they need to bring it back, always had a good night!
  • FORNAX AND FIRKIN - [SPUNGE] PLAYING EARLY DECEMBER CHARITY GIG!!!
  • Wembley Rugby Club....aparently the last gig was Hell Nite on Halloween. I went, and it was a laugh. (If you were there I was the little hyper nut head, sitting on the floor outside laughing myself stupid with my pissed/lean mates!)
  • wembly rugby club in harrow weald, but i aint bin there in yonks, trinty sumtimes have a few, and of course bull and gate.
  • wembley Rugby Club
  • The trinity is the only thing vaguely resembling a venue, and ive never caught the clap there.
  • trinity,
  • Its Time the Fornax and Firkin got credit where its due! Live music is surviving in Harrow Thanks to them, if you dont beleive me, head down there on Saturday August 9th, when 'FREED' - Then Tribute to Free, will be appearing, it will save you going to The Swindon Show, to see them open it on 1st August with another Top Tribute to Pink Floyd. It Costs Nothing to get in!!! best in Blues Rock for NADA, Nothing, ZIP Dont miss it! www.FREED.org.uk
  • Wembley Arena
  • Trinity Bar, pretty good, music upstairs, live bands play , you can hire the 130 limit room wiith bar and sound system and lightss for £50. The atmos is better than any other bar in Harrow. the people who run it are sound as well.
  • The Rayners at Rayners Lane tries hard.
  • SHELF STUDIOS....brilliant.I love the green room. O'Flaherty's north harrow. has some of the finest and dreariest of pub entertainers, depends what you're on.
  • O'Neill's have bands every Thursday and Friday. Pretty good but some can be very bad.
  • No LIVE music of any note. people recommending the firkin, trinity or anywhere else in harrow are too easily pleased. note Karaoke is not real music. neither is one man with a guitar, backing tapes and a tasty bird with a saxophone.
  • harrow arts centre sometimes has a lot on
  • Trinity Bar is the only music venue and they mostly have cack indie bands or people that play heavy metal. No talent has ever been discovered there. Saying that, management are nice. Other than the idiot pervie bouncers that feel they have the right to touch up every young female on entry. Not only do you have to pay to get in after 11 but you also have to be subjected to wandering bouncer hands.. . yuk!
  • Trinity Bar is good but very cramped.
  • If you havn't checked out showplans karaoke then you really are missing out! It makes a change to have a great sound system to sing through rather than the sad boxy rigs everybody thinks are the norm.showplan will be somewhere in the Harrow area.give them a call 0208 423 9411 or e mail:karaoke@showplan.com
  • there are none
  • Got to be Trinity, or South Harrow Firkin.
  • Fornax and Firkin could do with a real shake-up and get some new bands to play- -IE;GET RID OF 100% AND ALL THE SAME BANDS WHO SEEM TO HAVE HAD A MONOPOLY ON THE PLACE FOR SO LONG-PLEASE NO MORE JAM "TRIBUTE"BANDS!!!
  • wherever 100% are playing is bound to be wicked. The most talented and sexiest band. oh yes.
  • Wembley Arena is the closest place from where Harrow residence can see well known Acts play.
  • The Royal Legion Club occasionaly has a crap band in it
  • there is always the litten tree in kenton where kenny thomas and alison limerick play
  • The best music venue in Harrow is definitely The Fornax and Firkin, it's next door to South Harrow tube. There's live music every Thursday and Saturday with a jam night on Tuesday (newbies welcome). The music tends to be rock(ish) cover style and there is no charge to get in. Music covered includes Radiohead, The Manic's, The Doors, Ocean Colour Scene, Blur and even Abba. You know the kind of thing. There are some original bands too, playing some pretty good stuff. The atmosphere can be really great at times.
  • None, apart from a few pubs.

Cinemas

  • The VUE cinema in harrow is decent but expensive. Theres a bollywood cinema called safari on sheepcote road.
  • Vue cinema in the St George's Centre has 10 screens, fast electronic ticket sales.
  • Vue in st georges, safari shows bollywood
  • Vue in St Georges used to be good til they refurbished it earlier this year, now you have to buy tickets from the bloody popcorn ice cream counter cuz they haven't got enough staff to have a proper box office.
  • Warner Village
  • We've got your ubiquitous suburban multiplex in St. George's which seems to change names or sponsors every couple of years (it's now a Vue cinema) and ticket prices seem to go up 20p every six months. If you ignore the fact that screens 5-9 seat about twenty people and popcorn costs £4, it's pretty decent. The permanently stoned blond guy with a ponytail who can be seen working beind the ice cream or pick'n'mix counter on Saturday nights is always good for a laugh, though.
  • There is a warner village (changed it's name to vue) in St. Georges. Got 9 screens. Safari cinema on station parade which shows bollywood films. It's a bit run-down.
  • usual 9-screen multiplex
  • There's the Vue cinema sponsored by BT/Warner Village cinema, doubtless soon to become Yahoo Time Warner Disney Nike division of AOL Cinema sponsored by McDonald's, in St. George's. The 'kids' portion of popcorn costs about £3.20, when you can get twice that amount for 70p downstairs in Woolworths. Screens 5-9 only have about 40 seats each, but the toilets are relatively hygenic provided you ignore the strange liquids and stains to be found on the floor/toilet seats/ceiling.
  • well...st georges is the only place with a cinema
  • well clean in Vue, (who came up with that, and the annoying chameleon ting) well used to be. travel for a while bout 30 mins to get there , only on ein the area thats worth going to, park royal otherwise aint it really, or finchley i think
  • good cinema in harrow just expect to get robbed when buying any thing from the food counter.
  • It's gooooood but u gotta book before on a sat eve cos its packed. Trave miles to it unless there was a warner cinma near me.
  • eerrr theres only one good one Warner village, there's the safari but thats shit and run down
  • Warner Village for mainstream movies, Safari Cinema if you've got loads of time to waste (Bollywood). Sadly there are no independent cinemas yet.
  • i tend 2 go 2 warner bros in st georges - although i think its WAY overpriced
  • st georges of course!
  • Warner cinemas in harrow is not too bad. For a local cinema its OK.
  • warner villiage
  • St George's Warner Village only has about two screens that will fit more than 10 people in. For a better nearby one, try the Uxbridge Odeon, or if you're willing to travel, the Leicester Square Odeon is even better. All the big England movie premieres are held there (i.e. Lord Of The Rings, Star Wars, The Matrix), so you're sharing cinema seats and toilets with the stars.
  • waste of money
  • harrow bowl(n harrow) has improved i think. safari does bollywood stuff i think but st georges is ur place. normal chain wb
  • St Georges has a perfectly good Warner multi-screen cinema.
  • Mega Bowl is easily to get to and has many bonuses (e.g restaurant) but is quite small!
  • SKY might not be cheaper but it's safer.
  • St.Georges- nice sweet popcorn, enough room but always COLD so bring a jumper.
  • warner Village in Harrow is about the only thing we have. I steer clear of St Georges at nite (youll know why if u know it) so i would much prefer to go to finchley- same cinema, completely different experience!!
  • I've been to Warner Bros Village in Harrow and i suppose thats alright but the cinema is kind of small when you go in to watch the film. I've also been to the one in Watford thats a nice one I would recommend that to any one looking to go the cinema.
  • st georges warners...nice popcorn
  • good prices if you have NUS card (£4.00 to 4.20) and bad prices if you don't. still better prices than a cinema in london though. nice place cos it's fairly new, and it has a decent 8 screens.
  • Nothing but Harrow Warner Village. Standard.
  • multiplex in St. Georges, superbowl in North Harrow. Edge closed down (dammit). There's always Harow bus station if you want to bet on an illegal fight (15 12 year old Irish kids vs guy with mobile phone)
  • Warner is great. Not sure what happened to the other cinemas. Used to be able to go to Rayners Lane but this shut down years ago when they showed Raiders of the Lost Ark for only 10p!!
  • WARNER BROTHERS CINEMA-9 screens 12 films-nice cinema and its quite cheap
  • Warner Bros
  • Warner Village in the St George Centre has a wide variety of movies to choose from though, sadly, Chevy Chase movies are a rarity.
  • Warner villiage is an alright cinema...thugh food n stuff is expensive, it's comfotrable and it is the only good place to see a flik in the whole of harrow
  • Warner Village - just a run of the mill 9 screen multiplex. Quite nice, nothing special.
  • The new 9 screen Warner cinema in St George's centre is OK as they go, only you can't pre-book seats so get there early for the popular films. North Harrow Superbowl above Safeways has been there years but is still worth a visit

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Harrow. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Harrow.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
