Buskers, Street Entertainers

  • The pan pipes band outside marks&sparks every Saturday. How many times do they think we want to hear their tinny cover versions?
  • There is a constant post by Marks and Spencers where a group are collecting signatures for abused animals. I support the cause but do not feel that the harsh and sickening pictures should be on display as it intimidates people who are only out 4 a bit of shoppin
  • weird religious people handing out leaflets and shouting at passers by. usually christian but not always. this is harrow town centre. a week or so ago they had a whole army show set up, i think they were recruiting or showing off or something. they always do shit like that in the shopping parade in harrow.
  • well, there's this mad old fart who sits singing out of the bible.
  • USed to be a old man playing the keyboard in town centre. what happened to him? Hopefully he has gone for good. BErnard used to be the local tramp but he got run over a few years ago. poor Bernard.
  • sadly that cute, cute indie kid who sings like a dream and looks like an angel has disappeared so we're left with a small selection o banjo playing dwarfs or those singing religious people. make them og away. please. make them stop.
  • always loud, always brash, always lively. cheap enterainment. ranging from the over-enthusiastic religious choirs singing god's praises to the rather annoying one-band stationed outside m&s to the petrifying religious zealots who stop to take a short minute out of their busy saturday schedule to condemn you all to hell. and of course how could i not mention the cute indie fanatic stationed outside river island, easy on the ears and even easer on the eye who likes to brighten up many a femles saturday morning. when it comes to music there is no place like harrow. no part of suburbia has ever done street entertainment ever better. as annoying-ly bouncy as harrow steel group they liven up a shopping trip like no other.
  • Every busker I've ever witnessed has been pretty boring;
  • Harrow is too second rate for those people who spray themselves white and hardly move, so we have to make do with a real statue instead.
  • There's a guy in the middle of the town centre, who just plays a string.... just one string... sounds pretty cool actually.
  • here's always a handfull in harrow town centre at the w/end including one old boy who plays the most beautiful jazz/blues Usually in St Annes Road

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Harrow. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Harrow.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
