Skateboarding Spots

  • Obvious one is Harrow skate park.
  • We got Harrow Skatepark. Wierd swimming pool-like pipes.
  • Always a few thirteen year-olds with skateboards leaping off the low walls/flowerbeds and steps surrounding the entrance to St Ann's (the one that leads onto the pedestrian area).
  • wealdstone is old and shit. but it all we got. i just sit an smoke in the summer an watch my friends injure them selves. dickheads.
  • For any info on the park, or to hook up with people, check out www.harrowskatepark.co.uk Any email enquiries also welcomed.
  • Byron park has a skate park
  • Go to the flowerpot, where i saw dan cates skate. Its a pretty crappy spot, but 2 banks. Also in harrow high street, there is a ledge behind iceland, which is nice. Also the 3 set in front of st.geroges.
  • The super-high, super-steep disabled persons' ramp outside Gayton Library. If you're looking for a death-defying slope to perform that 360 degree ollie on, this is the place.
  • Theres a few i know, chalfont skatepark and amersham skate park in amersham theres stair sets at a police station which is quite fun get chased. The skate park in windsor i pretty good better than the other two. BUt theres yiewsley at your own risk, tesco car park. hav fights with kevs or townies wat ever u call them. Theres also a skate park in uxbridge on the way to yiesley u could pop to but the more skaters which come to tesco car park we can beat the kevs and run the place
  • Harrow skatepark is okay, but mostly it's full of BMXer's half the time who hog the bowls. So, get there early.
  • Try the car park for the Tesco's on Hindes Road! Not to mention Wealdstone skate park (in Byron Park).
  • well the skate park is jus crap, n all the peepz i no, go up london
  • harrow skate park or the old post office
  • Down the wheelchair ramp outside Gayton Library.
  • black glittery nail varnish rah rah rah
  • The Green (Even Though its full of little sports metalers.)
  • HARROW LESIURE CENTRE
  • man there are ALWAYS skaters around harrow town centre. for more space and less being chased by security guards try a park (there are lots around) the best one is byron park. there's a nice area of tarmac near the playground (i think it's meant for bikes but whatever) and if you walk around the perimeter, sooner or later you come across a skate park (close to the leisure centre) i've not been there recently but it's always busy so come early.
  • Outside Boon Dox, the old skate park, anywhere in the town centre...
  • byron park-theres a skate and bike track thingy
  • HSC, plus St Anns centre, just make sure ur good at dodging people, and u can skate fast, the security have been training!!!!
  • EVERYWHERE! If you can walk through Harrow on a sunny day without seeing some kid fall off a skateboard.... you're lost... scour the sky for a church spire, or a huge green nipple and let it guide you back to Harrow.
  • South Harrow station car park loverly regularly painted curbs and a nice little boxy bit at the end.
  • POO POO!!!
  • Behind Budgens the in a little hip onto grass and a waxed curb. My house is better, I have a grind rail, a flat bank, and a couple of ramps
  • Old-style concrete skatepark in Christchurch Avenue, behind the Leisure Centre. Nearest station is Harrow and Wealdstone (15 minutes from Euston by fast train) leave the station on the Wealdstone Side, and go down the road diagonally opposite you. Of the old stuff, the concrete half-pipe and snake run don't see that much use. But the moguls and the banked bowled area (the bollocks) at the bottom of the old slalom run are very popular and the pool sees plenty of action from the likes of Gunner and Matt Anderson. There's also a banked street area with a quarter-pipe fly-off on bank and pyramid fun box which is heavily used, plus a 6 or 7 foot red metal quarter and red metal bank next to it, giving it a sort of transition. There's 4 foot mini half -- it has got a hole in it but is still skateable. Shop.
Rollerskates and in-lines banned from summer of '96 because of safety problems: the accident book revealed that they were proving much more dnagerous than bikes and boards.
Free, open, but also on the phone: 0181 427 2812. (If you're into vintage concrete in London, you should also consider Rom Skatepark.)

There's more information about this spot in the Slam City Guide.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Harrow. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Harrow.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
