Skateboarding Spots
Central Bank (despite all the "no skateboarding" signs, Dublin City University
Dun Laoighre Peir. Has a few benches that look grindable. Gaps, good ground to skate on.
I think theres going to be a nice big skate park near the bluepool in monkstown.
on the sea front in dun laoighre there are 6 & 7 sets a roof gap at the harbour and benchs&ledges..... sweet
The IFSC in the city centre has loads to skate and is quiet at night and on Sundays. BOI on Baggot Street is a bust these days, There's always security about.
ft. george army base...warehouse with banks, islands , grindbars, etc...will get better.
sainsbury's when it's wet, usually at night we'll be skating the benches, grindrail, and cones, etc.
Iceland super market, 3 up , 3down affair,, main hook up spot.
Coucil office car park, with grind bar and waxy o' ledges.
Volcano's still there in Bond St. ..rip it up in the summer when the locals are out marching.
Marble ledges at Ulster bank Waterside.
Mini ramp in Gleneagles.

The main place to Rollerblade or Skateboard in the city is the Phoenix Park.
The mini-ramp in Dublin is long gone I'm afraid. Street spots are anything you can find but mainly, Baggot Street, Conrad Hotel (don't even know what street that's on) Black bars at the bottom of Pembroke Road, UCD College search around and find the banks and hand-rails. Hi there,

Another Skateboard shop/club on Hill Street (a small street off Parnell street which should be well known to anyone from Dublin or the surrounding area) called Clive's Skateboard Shop. Exact location: 21a Hill Street 1.
There's a new [1997] skateshop at the bottom of O'Connell street called G1. It's by O'Connell bridge, between a chemist and a shoe shop.
Skate City in Crown Alley, Temple Bar. You have Skate City listed as doing Skateboard stuff but they mainly specialise in Rollerblade stuff. Marathon sports in the Blanchardstown shopping centre also does loads of Rollerblading stuff.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
