Rampz at Eddie Irvine sports is about the only skate park left in N Ireland, with the exception of Ards arena, which is only open a few nights a week in Newtownards.McKee 3 is too easy, good for warming up though, head towards the public toilets but keep going, through the car park and u get to the pier 8.Tech has a fewy manny pads and a 5 with not very much run up.Bangor high is fun though.
Rampz - the sk8 park is a good place to sk8,set up by the legend eddie irvine!

Your local council. (North Down Borough Council) is just about to start discussing if and where a skate park should be. There was not a great deal of support at the council for this idea. Could you sugest a place for it to go? More importantly could you sugest a place that will not upset the people who live nearby or use the same area?........... and would it be used and not abused?
Councillor Austen Lennon
URBAN SPORT RULES.
BMX SUN> Mc Kee clock 2pm - 5pm
There are schools and stuff but the best place is the Tech at the weekends and holidays. There's a pile of boards and s**t which make for a nice little skatepark. AAAIIIII!
Ask Paul doke McCarthy about it he rules Bangor Grammar skates like a demon and has a damn sexy body
The TECH, Glenlola, BGS, Cineplex, Kings Fellowship, all good but not great.
Good car-park on Seacliff Road...
Cool flowing banks, many ledges etc. Be there on Sundays. BUT "Skate and get arrested" was the message in 92. Try Glenlola: steps and ledges at Leisure Centre, car parks at sea front. Or handrails, walls, steps and ledges at the grammar school. Ledges, steps, waxed at girls school. Weekend afternoons. Ramp at Ryan's is no more.
Skateboard Shops

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
