Hookup Spots
- Up ye ol castle, ontop of the lil tower, throwing water bombs at old people...memories
- ...in Aber if you're an ugly, boring male of the species it's best to wait until the girls from Penparcau get drunk....the Pier, Yoko's and the pavement around the clock tower are good bets.
- In the castle park - push lil kids off the swings!! Then climbing up one of the castle towers be careful - great views. Its harder to get down than up and it smell of pee in the tower soooo hold ur nose.
- Whetherspoons
- Slater's bakery is always a great place to meet with friends - but only f you work there of course!!
- So many 'picturesque' places to just go & chill! Playing on the swings up by the castle, or having a smoke under the stars, perched on the ruins. Bonfires in the cave underneath Consti, with nightlights surrounding the walls, so it looks like a grotto! Sitting by the harbour at night, listening to the boats chime in the wind, and watching the swans glide by. Oooh.... it makes me feel all poetic and stuff!
- the castle..... the beach under consti... the taxi row
- Stormriders, the only place they give no hassle and free cold drinks. Big bonus in the summer.
- The taxi rank, the focal point of town. Watch all and sundry pass through - and irritate taxi drivers by skating in front of them.
- Gather around the till in Stormriders. Especially on a Saturday. Not only is it a sociable way of keeping warm, its also a way of preventing fackers and wannabe's buying clothing and hardwear only suitable for those core guys who are actually doing stuff for real.
- on the prom by the castle with a bottle of champagne before the may ball.
- By the town clock at the top of darkgate street is thye place to hand out if you are too young for pubs and clubs, or the skateboard park opposite the polcie station.
- Sitting on the wall outside the union looking sad at 01:00 on wednesday and friday nights is a great way to pick up pissed chicks coming out of loveshack or loaded (or whatever they're called now), just stare at the sea, and look as if you're about to jump in front of the oncoming Z-cars taxi. Believe me, it works like a treat!!
- the new clock tower will, I s'pose become a hangout place in time... no matter how tacky it is...
- Benches on seafront, staring at the sea.... or the tower in the castle, that you can get to by climbing up the rubble (excellent place for picnics).
- outside arcade, beside station
- Outside sommerfields, chip shops @ lunchtime, outside K2
- Definately the beach in front of the GlenGower waiting for the place to open...
although its always open.
- The Pier amusement arcade, and the benches outside shop-y-pethe in Darkgate. Also, for some reason, crowds congregate outside K2 at about 2 in the morning, and don't really seem to go anywhere.
- There's a little 'cave' just at the base of Constie - but *watch* the tides! I had to rescue two twits attempting to climb Consti in flip-flops when they got cut off in the next bay along!
- Beach and jetty during sunny weather.
- It's got to be The Viewpoint - a toposcope thingy on the site of the old quarry, now part of Parc Natur Penglais, overlooking the town and bay. There's usually at least one couple there every night...
- Ynylas beach, especially in the middle of the night. Just outside the south wall of the castle are some grass covered earthworks that cradle you like an overstuffed chair while you eat a late picnic and watch the sunset.

What is Knowhere?
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
