oxfam and poundstretcher for all you reebok wearing shell suited blockheads
loads of second hand/junk shops to many to mention, but it's nothing new as at the turn of the century most shops were second hand/junk shops.same shit different generation

more charity shops in one mile in barry than anywhere else.(probably better than the crap sold in the up market places)
Nefertitis was a rubbish shop. I don't even know if it's still there but they used to say t-shirts that said "Bitch isn't just a word... It's an ATTITUDE". Enough said...
Newlook,Dorothy Perkins Burtons Watkins is still there, topshop which is based in Dan Evans Department store.
I must say that we have some good shops like top shop and wallis and new look!!!
Dan Evans the famous Barry store, a haven of sanity in an otherwise desperate shopping area
new look, top shop no where else really select its quite crap but fo to cardiff for good things
Barry need's a big shoppimg complex, with a JJB, MARKS+SPENCER, PILOT, KOOKI........There are only a few good shopes in barry for clothes and that is "Top Shop/Man....High street gear+wear.....+ Giles sport's
The Skin shop used to be cool.
newlook
Go to Cardiff
I'm afraid to say if you like charity shops, Barry is your place! It's quite sad as the larger shops in Cardiff have taken away a lot of business from Barry. Don't get me wrong-it's great that the shops in Cardiff are so easy to get to as naturally there is a better selection of clothes there with all the big shops and and all the cool one's (Morgan, Kookai, Oasis, French Connection, Warehouse...you name it, it's there!) so really it isn't a problem that the only shops in Barry are Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Topman, Burtons etc. and a few sports shops because Cardiff is sooo close
support the charity shops
Tuesday market is a Mecca for those wishing to purchase shellsuits and lilac jogging bottoms. Also those horrible ribbed loafers with the gold bits.
in barry not a good choice, maybe the best one at the moment would be burtons
For baggy jeans , hoodies and tees........it's Barry Island Rolllerdome
Holton road is your best bet for finding clothes. Topman is located in Dan Evans.
Holton Road is the best place to go shopping. It's got the best Woolworths in Britain. There are cafes in Holton Road to have a break but a WARNING do not go shopping in High Street, Vere Street, Winston Square and over Barry Island: you are likely to have your car pinched or be stuck in heavy traffic.
Get yourself down to Stephens at the bottom end of Holton Road.
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
Some in Holton Road, but never got what I want ;(
Barry is renowned across south Wales for its art galleries and the populus' appreciation of aesthetics and the freedom of expression of others.
As if...
High street sells all the crap tat! Ok for old biddys..
YMCA or even the YPO a cool but very sad place to go if any lads are intersted there is dancing on tuesday nights many girls go but b sure to wait outside
No. Barry is the most culturally desolate place I can think of.
Hyper Value is great for getting bits and pieces for decorating. It's surprising what you'll find.
In Barry?
Barry is the home of the wall mural. Almost everwhere you go you can see splendid colourful pieces depicting genitalia etc. Also several interesting installations resembling burned cars.
Art is a dirty word round Barry way, and the only craft is that of building a J.
High Street for all the trendy shops....and nice staff
Welsh folk museum is 10 mins drive away.
Magazine and Comic Shops
