Hookup Spots
- We jus seem to lurke near the new bendybus depot in town, loads of tidy young girls if you get my drift?
- Parc Tawe
- Maritime area is pretty groovy...and theres always the dunes if you fancy participating in the goings on of swanseas diseffected youth. The castle gardens area is an obvious idea also..in the summer the beaches all the way along the coast get pretty groovy...the steps along the bottom end of the beach are cool to sit, talk and watch the sea.
- Castle gardens is usually full of awesome people to talk to and hang around with. And sometimes they've got some really cool concerts on there. check it out on the weekend.
- The Phenoix center in Townhill.YES i said townhill which isnt just full of "townies"it has a lot of skater people and a small skate park!AND just to tell you it is not as rough as people on this site make out!i've lived here all my life and its great i love it!
- the soddin' leisure sent her is shut
- Shops:Arts & Crafts
A good place for gift buying or if you fancy being a bit crafty yourself - Llinos Crafts & Interiors, it's new. Situated opposite the SA1 development on Port Tennant Road off Fabian Way. Good for parking and the no. 6 bus stops outside the door.
- The skatepark next to the old lesiure centre by Quadrant
- Skate Park next to Swansea Leisure Center
- Castle Square, lots of skaters there. The castle, the Quadrant etc.
- Castle Square (by the fountain). Good for the shops and close to the (in)famous Kingsway.
- the QUADRANT is a pretty wiked place to 'MEET UP'
- castle mos def
- Castle Gardens, skaters gallore here and mainly where all the teens hang out on a saturday.
- the community resourse centre "the cafe" about 100 meter's from the train station.... very kool place if you wanna get away from all those silly little townies... they do good workshop's as well e.g. circus skills, dance, and art, oh and not forgetting castle square... excellent for sk8boarding ( or watching ppl falling off their sk8boards) either way works for me !!
- For me as a kid, hanging outside HMV smoking Red Band really was brilliant. You were not allowed to shop in Derriks cos a hot dog and pepsi fan said "it isnt METAL"
- cwmbwrla park was our hang out but this is a least 10 yrs ago.
- The Bridge. Without question. To call it a bridge would be a completely ridiculous, but that's what we all originally thought it was from afar, so thats what it is! Singleton Park, opposite Botanic Gardens, the two stone bench things... ah, memories of us all sitting there in our own little seats dishing out the drinks!
- The Graig, Pontardawe. Top Camping spot for the budding alcoholic. Just bring your own tent and matches. plenty of wooden fences to put on the campfire, and a spar 800 yards away. Brill. Also, plenty of towny slappers in nearby Alltwen, which you can lure up the Graig with 20 lamberts and a four pack of pineapple breezers. Good views of Ponty, too...
- Back of the Spar (now Londis) in Pennard - aahhh, the many years of underage Silk cut smoking, cider drinking fun we had there.......
- Sketty Park & Binks are the places to be if you are not from the towny areas
- depending on your age, as long as your a teenager or under you can try outside many of the shops and off-licenses (untill they close) some great communal shops are the Spar in Manselton and the newly openedsupermarket just off cwmbwrla roundabout
- I spent my early teenage years living in Brynmill, so my friends and I used to hang around victoria park or the slip bridge, later on my family moved to mumbles so we did'nt hang around like townies anymore. so we went to the pubs in mumbles(sorry), the kids were richer and the landlords could'nt resist the money and could not tell how old we were because of all the students.!
- The Comix Shoppe is the place to meet and greet some of the most popular of Swansea's underground and non-commercial talented individuals. Ranging from actors and writers to musicians and bands. Each and everyone abiding to the strict ruling of Independent works and non-commercial releases.
- Not Castle or Uni anymore. Indoor saktepark in fforestfach.
- Castle Square - whenever it's sunny.
- Umm The Kingsway is now no place to be "Cruising" as it has the same number of traffic lights in its 900 yard length as in all of Central London. Now adays you might like to pick up a bottle of "hooch" and mix it with the in-set at the Quadrant Bus Centre.
- Outside the "Quid's Inn" next to the YMCA building.
- University after 5.30 weekdays. Any time weekends.
- Kingsway Cruising on the weekends!!! Take your car and loud music and "Cruise!!"

What is Knowhere?
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
