• on broadgate in beeston before you get to bus station on the bus coming from town there's a little push bike shop. it's well cheap and it sells everything from stickers to actual bikes.
• non-stop for all your bmx needs. freewheel in hockley is good for mountain bikes, and repairs.

• Freewheel in Hockley has a great range of bikes and gives good after sales service. Bunny's Bikes near the railway station does good deals on part exchange. There aren't many motorbike shops near the city centre (or at all) mores the pity.
• [All person powered] Langdale Lightweights, Westdale Lane off plains road, Mapperley: Run by an Ace racing road bike frame builder (legendary). Sshockwave, Melton Road, West Bridgford: Exotic mountain bikes and biking holidays in Greece. Chain Reaction, Mansfield Road, Daybrook Square: Exotic mountain bikes and friendly chat.
• Try Bunnies Cycles near the railway station for excellent service and possible discounts on good new pedal-power.

BMX Trails, Street Spots

• the forest in forest fields-it is on the side of the hills in the trees
• there is a small trail on the forest in forest fields. Its in the trees on the side of the hill, its quite well hidden and has a few good jumps.
• Hemlock
• I don't know much about it, but they're building a 20k worth BMX trail thing in the Boundary Road Park, down the road from Rushcliffe School and Leisure Centre..
• The humps behind broadmarsh bus station.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
