Bicycle Shops, Bike Sales and Repairs

  • Dyson's is no more.Try Halford's or bike shop in Bedford. Why not live in Bedford? It has Italians which at least are European and TKMAXX!! and loads of charity shops.
  • There is a huge Cycle King shop on Dunstable Road near the casino
  • dunstable rd
  • Fantastic person powered bike shop in Bury Park. Due to the type of place Bury Park is, I wonder how much longer the bike shop will be there.
  • Dave Bliss Motorcycles, Castle Street. Good place for cheap run-around secondhand bikes. The use-it-till-it-dies type bikes.
  • Bikes¬!!!!!!! Why ride when there are Taxis ( If you can speak Urdu)
  • Attitude in Dunstable is a rad rider owned shop keeping lots of cool DH/DS/BMX stuff loads of pukka clothing such as LORD, ETNIES etc. Also noted for Staffordshire bullterrier called syd who scrounges food from everyone and longhaired downhiller Paul Everett.Owner Steve is too lazy to ride though and prefers moaning at the local riders and a vast collection of BMX videos.A decent shop all round always ready to give advice and help.
  • Cycle King for bargains. And Dysons on Biscot Road - I got a Claud Butler for under £200 there last summer
  • dysons if you like kids bikes and old wankers
  • Have you seen the new one on Dunstable Road in Bury Park? It actually has the audacity to claim that it's got the biggest range of bikes in the UK! Ha ha ha!
  • Attitude Cycles in nearby Dunstable does a good job of supplementing the needs of the growing number of local BMX and MTB riders. Always loads of good gear in stock. The shop is run by a miserable bastard called Steve who is expecting his first child soon (scary thought). Mechanic work is dealt with by Paul Everret (SAMS senior DH winner '99) who really needs to get a hair cut. Loitering/stalking is dealt with by Rikardo leHomosexuall and Scuffer Piefink, two men who have been witnessed as being far too good with the ladies. Always worth popping in for a chat or info on the local riding. Also close to top riding spot Aston hill (Wendover Woods - nr. Aylesbury) and highly overated Woburn Sands (1 decent jump, loads of wankers who sit around trying to prove that they've got the shiniest wheels, frame, etc. Rumours abound that a few tits have also formed their sad comitee and are trying to charge £10 to ride here. I cannot comment as I have not bothered riding here since Easter. Definatelt not worth paying any money for! Good Riding, Rich.
  • Dyson's, person powered.
  • Dyson Cycles in Biscot Road are very good, especially servicing.

BMX Trails, Street Spots

  • Woburn...best jumps around!!!!!!!! you should go back and ride...it only costs two pounds if the park ranger comes round which is worth it!!!!!!
  • marsh farm has a bmx park i think
  • hey there are some alright jumps in harpendon i know its not in luton but the train takes five mins and is well cheap these jumps are in the woods past the cricket club take a the firsty right on the main road and in the woods u'l find em!

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Luton. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Luton.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
