• a nearly new shop (cant remember the name) near st. peters churchyard. my frind bought a versace dress for £20 from the wonderful beast of a shop!
• Peak Performance on Saddlergate.
• Salamander on Saddler Gate for good hippy stuff etc.
• LIMEYS TOP END GEAR ARMANI, VERSACE ETC GOOD BUT THE STOCK IS SLIGHLY DATED COMPARED WITH LONDON ETC
• Peak Performance in Saddler Gate sells clothes, decks, shoes etc..
• All major chains. Eagle centre market good. Up market and more fashionable shops in Irongate and Sadlergate.

Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)

• Rainbows End - There's a potato stall near a Church in the middle of derby. When you reach it, go away from the stall (you back to its front) and it's on your left.
• The little art shop on the corner at the the cornmarket and st james street.
• Mezze on Green Lane has some nice crafty type things & homeware, it's just a bit further up past Rainbowzend
• C & B Models, Normanton Rd for all your minature world supplies, plus kites & stuff. Eclipse Crafts, Market Hall balcony for generic craft gear.
• For Dragons, Skulls, Swords, General Alchemy / Gothic bits, incense candles and some generally cool bits (check out the Turds and the flavoured incense candle jars!), go to Rainbows End. I dont know the name of the street so direcions: Get to the Audley Center and find Lush, turn right into the road down the side there, and follow that road to the end and on your left you find Rainbows End!
• Q arts on queens street is a good "modern" art gallery. often interesting photography exhibitions etc, no idea about opening times though.
• Huckleberry Willow - stocks ethnic gifts and crafts.

• Craft stuff as in hand crafter jewellry go to MORVERUM down the arcade in sadlergate its jewellry to die for
• Check out the local shops (barfly etc) for cool and trendy accesories (try to spot Noah & Nellie stuff, they're wicked)
• try optimum in sadlergate, not really art but a top class funkmeister shop. for gadgets etc.
• Not a crafts shop as such but C & B Models on Normanton Road is a damn useful place to know.
• kissi in the little arcade next to marks and spencer, fantastic for all unusaul things

Magazine and Comic Shops

• Freaky World WAS on Green lane, but they nearly went bust and moved into Salamander (see above).

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
