Skateboarding Spots

  • the neew parks
  • Worthinghead - school by day - trespassing by night. Police move you on and take your details - you could be prosecuted!
  • wyke park and worthy head
  • Skate Park at Peel Park, off Cliffe Road.
  • the law courts coz there's sum decent step sets there.other wise centenary square
  • outside the law courts is a cool spot to skate
  • Centenery Square, and around the courts. too bbad. Fineapple use to hang around there before they discovered drugs. i miss them.
  • war memorial and first school
  • Worthing Head Primary School - Wyke (skool by day, cool by nite Oakenshaw sk8 park (avoid it)
  • We now have Oakenshaw park ramps, also Peel park and one on the site of the old Eccleshill school. Peel park's OK for mountainboards too.
  • out side the corts just as you come out of bradford interchange then look to your left then theres victoria hotel just behind that theres the corts with like staire sets if your any good have a goi........
  • Try the ramps in Oakenshaw park (near Low Moor). Also the mini half pipe in Bingley (indoor). Wibsey's tarmac lump is crap, Manningham was worse, but has now gone...
  • well, riding a BMX alone means i get bored quick and go find new spots, so here goes. all of these are probably well known by locals. im a uni student. T&A banks still there, curved, smooth and brik, tight though, first one is the one to use. Centenary sqaure seems to be used more by skaters now depite by-law, BMX is still safe. Random ledges knokin around, lawcourts have some rails and stairs. Forster square, a bust on the ledges outside but there are some cool circular hip things, a sculpture, cool to ride on a bike but to rough to skate, very good as hips. tight quarters there to, with benches also. erm, uni is a bit of a bust nowadays, security seem to think more about bustin riders than stoppin crime......!!! eeeehemmmm....! found a cool set of banks with gaps outside of a buildin in some industrial estate (to find go up road at side of interchange yurn left at top of hill, go towards main road bit, cross road, somewere round there is a random alley path thing, go up there and just follow it round, the building is directly opposite, kinda) Some nice stuff round bak of ice rink, wallrides and stuff, all on hills though so it's a bit tirin. erm thats all folks, shure theres more.... oh yeah BMX only probs, in carpark of sunwin house, big flat bank aith huge steep ledge on the right side, ride quick before they build on it.
  • Outside the T&A buildig theres these half pipe things
  • errrr....theres one in Wibsey Park and Manningham (oops i mean lister) park. Centenery Sq would be quite good but obviously I have never done it and dont condone it as its highly illegal.
  • Skaters beware - there is now a bye-law in force forbidding skateboarding and roller blading in Centenary Square!
  • TOWN HALL,POLICE STATION,NEAR GAME AND HMV
  • The T&A banks are still there!
  • Centenary Square - opened by the queen herself Still the T&A spot as well
  • Two 5' Quarterpipe shapes of smooth brick. Various transitions and widths. Outside Telegraph & Argus building. But that was in '93...

Skateboard Shops

  • leeds is a excellent spot for decks etc.best shops are route 1 exit and wisdom
  • Leeds is possibly better for that kind of thing...
  • Leeds
  • We generally go to Wisdom in Leeds or order online from Bigwoodys.co.uk
  • H S C +
  • we go to leeds to get our decks ect.
  • Outside the cops shop.
  • Rocks Off
  • theres hardly any skateboarding shops in bradford, but if you were to go to the bradford interchange or forster sqaure train stations then you can get the train to leeds and go to the corn exchange- its a big centre thats got loadsa sk8in shops in!
  • MAINLY JUST ROCKS OFF BUT THAT JUST SELLS SKATING CLOTHES AND SHOES
  • Wisdom Skates - great people (used to have a mini ramp in store)

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Bradford. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Bradford.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
