Computer and Games Shops
There is a new company called All About PC's who will come out to you and sort all your computer problems out, they are reliable and very reasonable with their pricing, you will find them at www.allaboutpcs.co.uk
GAME
Game Station - Trade ins.
game , gamestation
@ Cyber cafe on Devonshire Street in Carlisle sell computers to order, upgrade computers, perform computer maintenance, virus remeval, software upgrades and sell all peripherals.
Wouldnt buy PC hardware from anywhere in Carlisle. Computer World on Lowther St does good deals sometimes though. The guy in the market has the odd bit you need there and then but seems to sell at extortionate rates. Dixons in the Lanes sells some good inkjet paper.
Game, GamesX, Woolworths, WHsmith,
Games a rip off but has the odd good deal. Gan ta the music box or cash converters for 2nd hand stuff cheap as chips.
Games Workshop round the bit that used to be the Mercury Lounge, where folk got beaten up.
Game/Electronics boutique is my favourite shop there and as always sells the latest games.
Game
Games X
PC World
Virgin, HMV etc.
games x does second hand and trade in although you do feel kind of dirty when you come out
Games Workshop, annoying staff full of school kids and trainspotter types but well stoked and mail order service avialable.
GamesX,New and used computer games and consoles, accesories. Also P.C equipment and software friendly staff.
Games x,small but well stocked.
Games workshop, well stocked but annoying staff.
Games Workshop - No one is treated like an outcast or a freak. It's friendly, has some good stuff in it, and no one should be affraid to go in.
High street, mainly
Electronics Boutique, Beatties, the usual guff
beatteis
there is a new one on the top of lowther st called gamex but ive never been in also a new pc world at kingstown
Gmaes Workshop, near the bus station. But I'm not into all that anymore, honest.
The Games Workshop - freaky little boys hang around that shop. If you go in on the off chance that you are going to buy something you are treated as an outcast unless you spend aobut four hours each day painting little models of whatever they are!
LAN Parties, Tournaments, LAN Game Cafes, WiFi Meets, PSP/DS Meets

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
