• Seing as though most of the comments on this site have been made by students on their four year holiday, I thought it would be appropriate to stick up for the residents of Huddersfield, as someone who was brought up there. Most of the students are mongs anyway. ? from East London.
• Huddersfield is a typical West Yorkshire town. It is a very straightforward place which is represented by the character of the locals - they call a spade a shovel. It is rough in places but it isn't any worse than anywhere else, infact Halifax only 6 miles away is far rougher.
• If you wish to make loads of cash quickly and easily set up as a tatooist/ear piercer in Marsden - you'll make a killing.
• Foregot to say a couple of minutes ago that if you want a haircut for £2.50 (YES, £2.50!!) go to the place in the alley between the Market Square and the Abbey National.
• Inside magazine is chiefly for 'Greenhead College' in Huddersfield. We are always on the lookout for contributers from anywhere in the world. The mag covers all the usual student features as well as some of the other current affairs. It is aimed at students aged between 16 and 19. The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
