Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)

  • We like to hook up outside starbucks on jaimeson street thats pretty central.
  • The only place I ever hung around in was a football field somewhere, a school field I think!
  • Princess Quay, even when you aren't intending to buy anything, the view from the car park roof is price less!!
  • myton bridge, pit/foundations/hole in the floor watever u want 2 call it out side princess quey, queens gardens altho u get chucked off, not realy anywere else 2 go wer there aint loads ov chavs
  • St Johns
  • We All hook up at under Myton Bridge(purple bank) on Saturdays or at Beresfford skatepark on Beverly Road
  • The hole in the ground in front of H.Samuels that's supposed to be of archeolgical importance (The Beverley Gate,) but is actually a place for teenys with beany hats and skateboards to meet up.
  • Hymers College is not a school filled with poshos that you think are invading the city. They attend this school not to be posh but to receive the best possible education from Hull. You should get your facts right before publishing such sh*t!
  • planet coffe newland avenue
  • BERESFORD SKATEPARK, newly completed, down beverley road, turn right after jacksons right and keep going right down to the end. Walk into the park and the skateparks directly in front of you. Amazing park, bowled corners, rail down box, flat rail, bowled hip, pyramid box, flatbanks galore.
  • Outside Jacksons On hessle Road
  • N/A
  • pools corners is not there anymore you spanners
  • Can never remember where I've been - so 10/10 for the city centre bars.
  • we like meet up in the town centre on saurdays and roam round Prinny Quay. If its sunny, we hang out in Queens Gardens, chatting whatever.
  • NO 1 WEARS KAPPA TRACKSUITS WHO EVA MADE DAT UP,PPL DID LIKE 5 YEARS AGO BUT NOT NOW
  • Girls, and anyone under 18 should never venture into Queens Gardens alone - its full of perverts.
  • Skool
  • the sewage maintenance station
  • Queens Gardens will always be the best hang-out but the townies sometimes get annoying.
  • Pearson Park, it's great for walking around and thinking about stuff
  • Not many places are safe nowadays what with all the trouble with townies, Queens Gardens used to be really cool but theirs been a lot of fighting throughout the year there...marinas pretty cool and victoria docks park although its quite a trek
  • Cottingham village car park
  • Outside Hammonds. The station 'blue box area' is now frequented by Kappa Slappas and other assorted low-lifes, avoid at all cost.
  • dont bother with hull,its a shithole
  • oh dont we miss Beer Keller in bishop lane, the place to be in the l970s the dance floor made of sheet metal, everyone thought you were the bees knees, but no you were just trying to stay on your feet

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Hull. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Hull.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
