You can buy Ski masks on the top floor of Princes Quay!
fashon is good
the best place to get your army surplus stuff is not the top deck of Princes Quay but at the Quality textiles place Spring Bank Jacksons, loads cheaper, a bit further to walk but for savings of a fiver or more do you care?
SPACE- further up the strret from experience
Experience next door but one to Armadillo. There's alternative stuff one the first floor, and kinky stuff in the basement.

Freetown Sports, Prospect Street, Hull
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
Ferens art gallery is nice, i go there for the girt shop tho cos theres loads of funky jewelery in styles u cant get from other shops.
Top Deck - Gem Stones, jewellrey. General craft etc, worth a good browse, look carefully!
The Crafty Den also does craft supplies. Mozaic Down Newland Avenue, is getting very well stocked in crafting supplies, it is also a great shop to look around, especially the wine and beer making kits.
local art galleries are good but the museams are realy excellent

Ferens Art Gallery is now FREE to get in, as opposed to £1 a throw.
Lots of design and art shops in the city centre and craft shops selling stuff like fabrics and needlwork
try the market place, and down high street, look in the nooks and crannies and you might be surprised.
Ferens Art Gallery is brilliant and FREE
Ferens Gallery is good for respite after a hard days shopping
Zebra, the most chilled shop I've yet to visit! after visiting twice now get offered cups of tea!!!, also worth visiting just to see the clients!
There's a strange "thing" in King Edward Street. Four white metal pillars, about seven foot high, set out as four corners of a square. If you walk through them they make a sort of feed back sound. It's amazing! There is also a strange metal sculpture by the River Hull, behind High Street.
Ferens Art Gallery, Queen Victoria Square. Large 'official' art gallery - good value for a quid a throw - nice little cafe inside too.
Magazine and Comic Shops
Archeron's picked up a stack of old stuff. Dunno about how cheap or how good it is though.
There's a comic shop on Spring Bank called Chrystal Books. There are at least two other comic shops in Hull. The biggest is Armadillo on the corner of Anlaby Road and Ferensway. The other one is East Hull Books on Holderness Road, this is cheaper than Armadillo but does not stock Marvel!
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
