Skateboarding Spots
I dont scateboard myself but i see loads of people at the dig site at the bottom of whitefriargate. Its good for scateboarders. Loads of railings and obstacles and stuff.
for private skating check out the new build on the marina
the best spot in hull to skatbored is under myton bridge this is also a ace chillout spot and if you go there then bound to meet people you already know and people you havent met
check out willerby on the outskirts of hull, esp willerby shopping park and NHS just across the road, awesome wall ride, try bonus and image data tounges of crates there
Around the college!
myton bridge, queens gardens, docks, kc skatepark (but full ov chavs)
the skatepark outside kc stadium
Ha i remember RAD and the word still slips off the tongue every now and again. I think by now everyone knows the best spots and aren't the secret spots best left secret? marina, new theatere, gochalcks, vikky dock and courts are some of the places i sometimes skate.
rock city & the marina
Beresford Skatepark, Marina, White Benches, KC when its dry. Myton Bridge when its wet. Victoria Dock, PC world, Fourdown is now closed so ask a local
Theres a mini rail outside of the bar Bearitz. It's quite fun to do small grinds on.
East park
outside riley college
Hull college, Hull uni, marina, under Miton Bridge, and KC if you want a small crap park!
New skate venue built recently near the new Hull Stadium down Anlaby Road. Free to use.
Rock CIty skate park
again queens gardens and marina are the best places although back of Hull theatre is also noteworthy
New concrete outdoor park in the KC super-stadium.
Also, outdoor metal construction outdoor park on Preston Road estate, near Flinton Grove school. Ring - 01482 789680
The Deep has a beatifully smooth car-park, although security tend to kick you off if The Deep is open. It's floodlit (at the moment) 24/7. So have a skate up the resurfaced St Peter Street, or along the Esplanade until 6.00pm - then skate all night.
Good rocks & ledges for grinding. the second car park makes for a good (albeit tight) speed skate oval.
A nice mellow bank under the bridge on Humber street, its painted blue with a rail along the top. The ceiling is a bit low at the top though. Also across the bridge are some nice humpy things also painted blue, you'll see them at the bottom of the pedestrian walkway.
NEW THEATRE-to be honest i think this is the best place to skate in hull,it has the perfect 3 set,its very smooth and it has a marble step you can grind.to get there just ask for directions off anyone u see around (28/11/01)
Theres A New Skatepark/Dirt Track Being Built Next To The Old Railway Track On Preston Road Estate Next To What Used To Be Flinton Primary School Just Go Along The Drain
The great Rock City skate park, mentioned here, closed last week (due to massive increases in insurance costs).
There used to be a lot round the fountain on Westbourne Avenue in 98/99. Im not sure if that is still the case.
RockCity (skatepark), now fully changed from it's origional bare basics. In the back of the climbing centre you will now find a mini-ramp with a spine joining to another. A nice street course with many a hip. A couple of quaters, a nice big fun box....blah,blah,blah. All this and a skate shop to compliment!!
Tidal barrier is still skated on and off,
The Pond in Beresford ave park is skated mostly on Saturdays, sometimes on Sundays - smooth surface, straight and curved blocks and is nearly always drained and dry (yes, for two weeks every year it sees action not of the rolling kind, but of the paddling kind)
A good meeting point is the bandstand (round the corner from mc donalds)-especially on a Sunday at around lunchtime- there is usually between 15-20 skaters there. The new white theatre is also decent- steps, marble grindable steps. People do still sk8 at the marina- big concrete benches, steps & other shit
Tidal Barrier Banks no longer skated. How about: Kipper Banks? L shaped banks in L formation. Grindable lip on one side. Uni: 2.5' 45 degree bank along front (gnarly grinds). Daffodil death behind. On campus 2 45 degree banks, 9' apart with mini mogul in middle, one bank 8' high with railings on top (jolly for Ollie) other 3' high (fly-off). Good run-up. Floodlit. Loads of steps, rails, mini banks. Beware. Small groups. Stay quiet and quick. Move on: don't blow it. Newland Girls School: Bank to wall, concrete hand-rails. Brick Banks: Pyramid shaped banks at different angles.
There's a new [1997] park at the indoor climbing centre (open to inline, skate and BMX).
Skateboard Shops
Route ont in the city centre
route one thatz it since 4down shut
hsc is the place to go, route 1s a bit overpriced and overliked so maybe go out of town for a deck, perhaps york or leeds or you could order from hsc, theyre quick and reliable.
route one or free spirit in york
Support skater owned shops, dont go down the route 1. Mischeif skatestore is a good place to start.
Now Four down has closed it only leaves Route One in Hull to buy your skatestuff. A bit expensive don't you think ?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
Have Your Say...
The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.
You can tell us more about Hull.
This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
to tell us about events happening in Hull.
Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
