Computer and Games Shops
The reason Advnace stocks "bargain bits" is because most of them don't work.I bought my first PC from there in 2000, and had nothing but trouble. They blamed "pirated games" and everything other thing under the sun. When I spoke to a friend who knew what the insides of a computer looks like, I ended up getting a custom built PC. If you know little about computers, buy something from Dell, or Acer, or a well known brand. And if all else fails go to HEC. Do not go to Advance if you want a PC that works
Is CANNINGS still open, lmao.
don,t like to comment about cannings for computer games or advanve pcs for there
large dog but the guy in Leigh market hall has to be the cheapest for blank cds and dvds he his also very helpful ps he's near the health food stall
Yeah i agree i stopped going in when they stopped sellin DVDs, game station is alright for games but their DvDs are a RIP.
Don't bother going to Cannings asking about games!!,, they dont seem to stock new releases???????, havn't got any retro stuff at all and I went in with a load of P.C. games and they dont trade anymore? REALLY gone down hill. Try Gamestation on Bradshawgate, plenty of Retro and got a good deal on a PSP on trade, the music there does my head in though. If you can get past the noise Gamestations the place for games.
Advance UK opposite the cop shop is the best place to get blank CDs and DVDs, and the guy also has a bunch of bargain components.
Cannings is the best place around for anyone who is interested in computer games, there range is massive. I come from manchester where we have all the large stores like Game & Gamestation but there selection is nothing compared to cannings. And ive never seen a store with such a range of magazines, they must have about 3000 different magazine titles, from football to surfing to woodworking to trainspotting, this list goes on.
advance uk based in leigh may well have a dog that jumps up at you but it only bites on command and i DONT smoke rollups i smoke normal cigs you must have caught me on the day i was so busy serving the customers of leigh that i borrowed one Regards Dave
Advance UK on Chapel Street has a dog that jumps at you and a guy with a beard who smokes roll ups. Intergames is good if you want discount CDs and you have a desire to pity someone with a messed up sense of a business plan.
Intergames is a fairly decent secondhand computer game shop. It's on Lord Street near Mr. Eats Kebab shop. Or you can go to Cannings in the mall if you want to get ripped off.
Cannings is a bit pricey, but Intergames on Lord Street will do you a good deal
Yeap, Cannings is a bit of a rip off especially for second hand buying and selling. Intergames on Lord Street is cheaper, but is dead cramped, but they also sell CD's.
cannigs of leigh will rip u off when buy ing or selling games new and 2nd hand
go else where
LAN Parties, Tournaments, LAN Game Cafes, WiFi Meets, PSP/DS Meets
I know it's not in leigh, but my mate has got together with someone and they are holding LAN gaming nights in walkden. (see http://www.bandmpcservices.co.uk for more details)
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
