Favourite Building

• Alder Mill, Clyde Street (Near Butts Bridge).
• They've knocked them all down! Well nearly! There were loads of great buildings in Leigh but most of them have been demolsihed to make way for housing estates. there isn't much really of note left anymore....
• There's a spanking new job centre.
• the favourite building in leigh is the benefits office
• Hilton Park; quite simply the epitomy of a great leigth tradition.

Demolish It Now Building

• Leigh Library or Wigan Town Hall. take yer pick.
• ALL OF LEIGH BECAUSE ITS CRAP!!!
• the old catholic club at the top of plank lane a burned out shell of a building
• Well the Bradshawgate Arcade has already gone, which is a god send. The Library is a pretty horrible 1960s design - but being that the library is one of the only decent things in Leigh then you can't get rid of it!
• If my wildest dreams, I'd hire a fleet of JCBs and flatten the entire town. It's ugly, depressing, grey, insular, and cold.
• Leigh Library - a carbuncle on the face of the town!
• the one opposite the Spinning Jenny Pub , it's a disgrace! the railway arches at the top of Bradshawgate are in desperate need of something as well.

• the Boullivard and it did get flattened
• they should flaten all of leigh and start again
• My House! Only joking Old cinema, Toffs and Rubins!

The Best Things

• The schoolkids are very generous. Every morning they stand in the bus station throwing money on the floor for some unknown reason. I've collected £2 in five days picking it up. What du they lern at skool? No wunder they canot read and rite.
• The Sky Bar and JJB
• Lots of bargain shops so Leythers can buy christmas presents for their loved ones. The number 26 that takes you away from Leigh into Manchester.
• It's home. Lobby! The Bridgewater pub (but only betwen 1977 - 1986)
• the brothel above motorland use the door at the back and you can have a lot of fun for £40 340
• the saint helens road as it takes you out of leigh into lowton Thank god for lowton.
• The sights, smells and sounds of Hilton Park; "Cos Leigh Rugby will never die" And the fact that both ther Leigh teams have got through to the challenge cup 4th round (99). Death to pie eaters!
• I live here. The Xanadu project seems to be really good for Leigh, if it gets built!

The Worst Things

• All of it
• The worstthing is this shite website that does nothing but slag Leighoff. I suugest you fcuk off if you don't like it.
• ALL THE OTHER STUFF
• drunks and junkies
• Too many scallies around these days, Leigh is rapidly becoming a hole.
• The litter and chewing gum covered streets!!
• The way the locals talk they do think as slow as they talk
• How all the money seems to be spent on Wigan town. Every single locality in the huge (former Metropolitan) area is classed as Wigan. We are not all pie eaters. The waste of money when Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council decided it would be called Wigan Council and had to change all the signs, council stationery, coach-painting on transport etc etc. This has left Leigh out of the equation even more. If they brought the rental rates down in the town centre we wouldn't have so many empty shops, more people would come to shop. Lets have some pubs, clubs for those of us who have got over our '12 pints a night and bullet-proof' mentality.
• the people and the way they speak
• The crowds at Hilton Park being very poor at times.
• Everything, especilly being so close to Wigan!
