• The Best Motor Bike Shop is CENTRAL MOTORCYCLES next to the whitehaven bus station. Run by the world famous Richard 'DICK' Locke. Dick is an exellent mechanic, sells cheap gear (clothing etc.) and the cracks good as well.
• Mark Taylor Cycles hire a cycle here to do the famouse C2C and The Reivers
• Skaoby cycles (Carlisle)
• There is only one Motor-Bike shop in town, Bill Brown perhaps more famous for his Wulfsport brand of motorcycle clothing, find him situated on High Street.

BMX Trails, Street Spots

• greenbank hill (need good brakes and plenty of tread on ya trainers)
• lots of wasteland on kells hensingham that is ok there is also the coast to coast cycle path but the more serious dont like people messin around on it
• Seascale dirt jumps. Right out side the train station. Regular trains from local towns.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
