• Megasound on Standish Street, appears to be a fast growing business, they have over 98.000 backing tracks available for karaoke,most in stock,stating from only £6.99,they also carry a wide selection on PA's,Drums,Guitars, including Fender,Tanglewood and Washburn,its a great shop,bags of atmosphere and you can still strike a good deal,(just like you could the old days.)well worth a visit.
• Don't forget Pro Solo in Parliament Street (01282)414089 and Megasound UK in Standish Street (01282) 830063
• Dawson's pn Standish Street closed down for approx 8 months and recently opened again half its original size.

• Cash Generator sometimes has electric guitars, keyboards and other stuff like that, whatever gets taken in really.

• Dawsons is the only music shop. This is a shame because they can afford to charge that little bit higher for musical instruments. No competition equals no price war.

• OPUS PRO AUDIO opposite the polie station has excellent deals on PA hire. Also massive selection of DJ gear mixers & decks........

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
