Zoe wannamaker from my family lives somewhere!
nicholas lyndhurst way hey!
I saw Maggie Smith in watrose supermarket once and I Know Keith (drugs lord) lives at Redlands Farm in W Wittering, i saw him buying apples in the now closed South Street fruit shop.
The great romantic poet John Keats stayed in Chichester for a while around about 1819.
You might spot Nicholas Lyndhurst [Only Fools and Horses] but he's highly unapproachable and quite rude. Same goes for Patricia Routledge [Keeping up Appearances]
Also, look out for who's starring at the Thatre, you'll often find thme wandering in the town. The nicest was Lesley Joseph [Birds of a Feather] but my Dad accidnetally flashed Peter Bowles [Only When I Laugh] once....!!!!
Some of the bands that play in The Chichester have obtained a bit of a cult status, ie. Transfixion & Frail. Although he has a lot of 'friends'. They both play metal type music and the always fill the pub because of it. But it's only because of the music. Their heads have grown large because of it! Steve is ok though! Don-the lead singer of Frail is a complete tosser! HEHe i hope he reads it but please don't put my name!
Nick Lindhurst, Keith Richards (Wittering), Jack Dee (Pagham)
dunno n e. maybe pope!
The infamous Lucy Cobb and Katy Goodall, look it up!!!!
Christophy Timother; Tony Britton (father of Fern) and TV Doctor with Nigel "smarm" Havers; You can do loads of famous person spotting i theatre silly season.
Hyacinth Bucket-it had to be really!! She captivates the whole pretentious,pre-occupied snobbish attitude of this place-lets be honest now!!!!
Nicholas Lyndhurst lives down here also with wife and new baby...
Christopher Timothy lives out in Runcton
Patricia Routlege (aka Hyacinth Bucket) from 'Keeping Up Appearences'
Actor Malcolm Stoddard still lives here and his school chum Michael Elphick is a regular visitor to his mother in Victoria Ave.

Rodney James Herriott Mrs. Bucket
Mark Hall (Author of Internet Banking)
Buskers, Street Entertainers

During the summer there have been two players from St Petersburg... their adaptations of classical music for balalaika and keyboard are very enjoyable indeed.
There are sometimes christians singing at the cross, lol... there's an interesting man who usually sets up stall outside thorntons, dresses completely in silver and rolls a crystal ball around his arms and in his hands if you give him money. You can try to distract him when not in action but I have found it so far impossible. Watch out to see if her ever drops the ball; I have seen it only once! There was also a palm-reader outside the cross, but she charges £5 for 10 minutes and looks like a cross between a witch and a hippy. There's a good share of interesting people every saturday, usually grouped around the cross and north and east street.
Walking through town is increasingly hazardous. Everyone (and their mother who convinced them they had a special talent they should share with the world) gathers near the cross and basically obstructs your progress with juggling, puppetry, christian fundamentalism, pan pipes, amateur dramatics and a short snatch of Gilbert and Sullivan sung by a particularly wobbly old trout in an evening dress - ghastly
Most of them are annoying but in the summer there are a few. Every saturday there are the Christians at the Cross, good for a laugh.
Yes - every saturday - alongside the Big Issue seller ensuring the middle classes of sussex get their guilt trip for the week
East ST, on Saturdays, market day, so plenty of people around, Music in the street, and pavement artist, Great.
There's a group who try to play Forties stuff in East Street and who are useless.. their 'pianist' is crap
If you have ever seen the Fast Show sketch with the guys with Pan pipes then East street, at the cross end, on saturdays, is the place to be.
There's some wally who plays a one man band by the market cross who can't sing and shouts rudely at passers by. Sad, very sad.
All the time - some regulars who you get to know and love(?)
There are usually people of some description around the 'cross' or outside Boots. Some are complete wasters but some are alright, don't stand and watch unless you WANT to give them your dosh - most are VERY insistent!
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
