Record Shops

• There's a couple of good second hand vinyl shops in Bognor
• hmv is ok but too xpensiv
• Vinyll - next to the swan pub
• Pompey's got the best independent type record shops.
• theres a MVC and new HMV and woolies but nada else!
• MVC,HMV and there are a few secret 1s that are quite cheap but im not telling you them.
• Helter skelter near St. pancarus (spelling?) - bargain and the bloke in the shop once let me off 30p! What a legend!!!!

• MVC is the best music shop. It's in south street, Lots of cool staff too!
• Helter Skelter..very small but really good and cheap
• ok VIP Vinyl has just changed hands, and new people arent big on Bargain bundles, then again neither am I. Other than that Woods in bognor, but its mainly only chart stuff, and theres nothing underground, also bewarned of the lack of order, by that i mean the vinyl in woods is not labelled by genre, its just shoved onto the shelves, I prefer VIP Vinyl, which incase you havent read above is near the swan, and the college.
• MVC is probably the best. The Vstore has mysteriously disappeared with no warning, but it was too small anyways. MVC can pretty much order in anything thats not in the store.
• the vinyl shop, chichester vinyls or summin like that is pretty good, i think its up west street & its owned by the wideboys.
• V-Shop has been taken over by Sainty...logo looks cool, but its just v-shop WITHOUT the computers at the back!
• Theres a vinyl place I think down that road next to the swan pub westgate.
• Helterskelter records rocks! keep walking down by the market near Les Pauls car garage.

• Helter Skelter is the only one in the town selling 60s 70s etc rock. There was a great Hip-Hop shop, East Side but thats closed due to lack of sales, philistines.
• MVC's the best record shop in Chi at the mo. go see it.
• Bastow's Classics in North Street offers an excellent selection of non pop music
• Helterskelter down the Hornet. It rocks. If you want, he's got it and if now, he'll try and get it. Superb. 'Titles', now MVC in south street is big but only really sells what it THINKS you want. Not cheap - but being a member helps [its free to join, ask when you go it]. High-Street music shopping. Good for ordering and information. Heck knows why Our Price turned into V.Shop. They dont sell much in the way of CD's only the latest chart stuff. Awful for ordering. Useless ofr information.
• Helter Skelter sells a lot of second hand records, CDs and tapes. It's nothing that exciting though! I've bought a couple of things there but I don't visit it very often though. MVC is a boring chain store, although it does try to cater for every music taste! You see a lot of young kids hang around there-yes in their hoodies- trying to look 'cool'!
• Helter Skelter records, it's little known small shop near the market, just by the only kebab shop for miles.
• Helta Skelta is a must if you can find it. Big IF. MVC has a few decent bits, but mostly caters for the wannabe alternatives who miss the point and love Limp Bizkit.
• Helta SKelta is cool or good old MVC but little choice.
• Bastow's Classics in North Street are very good indeed and can supply almost any classical, light classical or older music.
• MVC is a good place to go, to laugh at the guy with an a,mazing shaped mullet, and to nick their free internet CD's, as decorations for your room!
• V.Shop has just replaced Our Price - it stands out as it has this fantastic system at the back of the shop where you can order CDs if they're not in stock. Also MVC is a good place to go if you want to go and laugh at a man who works there who has a particularly spectacular mullet!
• Actually the best in the area is The Woods in Bognor (arcade). Chi used to have an Our Price but it has turned into a Branson Franchise V-shop selling moby's and only chart CD's. Shame.

• our price has got a cute guy working there this weekend.
• Strongly recommended is Helter Skelter records, on the Hornet. Top selection of vinyl, almost new cd's and that single you heard John Peele play last week but you just can't remember what it was. If that isn't enough there is also a small selection of local bands, books, posters, and a little memorabilia. Plus the guy that runs it is full of rather usefull info. With prices around £5.00 for near perfect vinyl, and cd's you can't complain either. Incidently I don't work there, or have any shares, I just like the shop, ok!
• There is a vynil shop in Westgate right near the White Swan.. called V.I.P. vynil
• There's also the MVC store. Ok so it's all CD but it's got a much better selection of back catalogue and alternative stuff than Our Price. And the prices are pretty good if you get their card. (which I think is free)
• Go to Titles if you want bulk supermarket music. But go to OurPrice if you actually want someone who knows what they are talking about. Oh, by the way I also get all my vinyl from there.
• You are best off going to the 'Titles' discount music and video store. Very cheap. No vinyl though; I don't know of any specialist music shops in Chi., but I'm sure there must be one somewhere.

Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

• Mud Club in Bognor
• CHICHESTER IS THE BEST, IT'S WICKED DUDE!!!
• The Mud Club in Bognor Regis is one of the best for most peoples tastes, wednesday is "Goo" the alternetive night, rocks!
• Toad is excellent as it has a door policy, meaning no hoodies or baseball caps get in.
• Thursdays is a class night out, especially on cheap Tuesdays, it has to be done regularly, always someone you wanna see in there. Had some top nights in Bognor too.
• Thursdays, but it will leave you with a hollow, dirty feeling the next morning. Or it might leave you in pain if you had a run in with some degenerate kebab muncher in the taxi line.

• Lloyds at the weekend - cheap drinks, good looking people.
• Thursdays!!!! I know it gets a bashing but they play drum and bass near the end off the night, and you can go outside in the summer. I love it! Mind you I enjoy it much more now I dont live there any more!!! I also enjoy Chicargo rock and Lloyds!

• Well apart from the White Horse in south street that hosts great drinks and really good Dj's and Music on a Fri or Sat there is nothing good there is only Thursdays. Its only ok if your drunk. They have an awfull sound system (JBL - Just Bloody Louad and Shit) and the same dj's every week. They are the only club and abuse the fact they have the monopoly. Ironicly Chichester has a Mobile DJ running as Afterdark Productions that has a awsum Funktion-One Sound system and huge lighting rigs that wipes the floor with any local clubs!
• Go to Thursdays, It's great!
• Thursdays Night club. It's small but its excellant! I go twice a week. Tuesdays are the best nites!
• Thhursday...as rubbish as i would love it to be there is nothing better than thursdays on a tuesday night...quality old cheese music and because everyone goes there you always see loads of people you know
• ha ha Chi has few, thursdays is crap. Go to Bognor, but thats also crap. So... I reccomend guildford, yeah its along way away, but better.
• If you want a good night.. run as far as you can from chichester. 33 miles east you get brighton (wicked) and 28 miles west you get pompey, both good places but completely different vibes. Brighton has more variety, and pompey is more full of your average ben sherman wearers yet there are some sylish blokes ive seen. Well easy to pull there if you arent a complete mingbeast.
• None that should be recomended, the Havana bar( wat was the Noble Rot)is alright, look out for DJ Idleyz he's quality

• What bloody clubs? The powers that be have decided that Chichester's entertainment facilities should be directed at middle class, middle aged and elderly white people. There's nothing for the young and no interest in providing facilities for them.
• Thursdays does have 'remarkably young patrons'! It's near Chichester and it is shit! The music is cheesy & pop and it's where the 'fresh faced' slappers go! And the sexually frustrated males go - they are usually older but not necessarily. Its a bit of a townie place.

• Thursdays can be a good night out as long as your wasted and your friends are there. Make sure u bring ID because they usually check everyone. The musics extremerly cheesy, but alright for a laugh.Tuesdays the best night out students cheaper b4 11.oo. Theres a free bus on the weekend from outside the spoons or from the hardwick in Bognor.
• Thursdays! Only club around so u have to stick with it! Great choons on a Tuesday nite-including Chesney Hawkes and Bryan Adams! Wa hey! Not 2 bad on a Friday nite-best to go hammered!
• Pudding clubs, lots of those in Chichester.
• right, well Thursdays is shite. I'M 14, AND COMPLETELY RECOMMEND, slurping toad, but remember beware EMPIRE in bognor, unless ur name is tracey or lorraine, or lorraine, in which case u'll fit in like a big earring, and a pot of hair gel.
• Ha Ha - city fathers rely on ancient roman by-law to disallow clubs. there used to be a great place in a wine cellar in Little London doing swing, rare groove and jazz, but they shut it.
• Thursdays Nightclub - Subject of Foot and Mouth restrictions due to being a total Cattle Market!!!!

• Thursdays is the biggest pile of wank i have ever had the misfortune to go to. It is full of Ben sherman wearing tossers and complete sluts!! The DJ's are also complete crap and play possibly the worst selection of tunes possible.

• Thursdays isn't as bad as made out, best night is tuesday, its a cheap cattle market
• Thurdays - it really isn't worth the effort unless you have a monopoly on who is in there

Live Music Venues

• The Cave
• La Havanna - quite good underground bar/club, the cavern - better than la havanna.
• Have to travel for the big bands, Wedgewood rooms in Pompey my favourite.
• The Chichester, I used to work there. Its the best pub ever!! ;)
• priory park- petworth park- both have large live gigs at certain times of the year the chichester pub
• The Venue. Ull find plenty of pubs which have bands and stuff. Go to THE GLOBE for kareoke!
• THE BEST PLACE 4 JAZZ, AFRO-CUBAN, FUNK, LATIN GROOVE & MOST DEFINATELY BLUES AND BEBOP IS 'THE FOUNTAIN' IN CHICHESTER (HEAD TOWARDS TOWN CROSS FROM BUS OR TRAIN STATION...ON THE LEFTHAND SIDE) IT'S GETS CROWDED IN THERE!.....U HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
• The Cave is now open (used to be Cafe Metro) in St. Pancras (east side of town). They have bands on fridays and other stuff during the week. Also check out La Havana in little london (owned by the same bloke).
• the clubs thursdays & SNAP hav the best MC's in sussex, the 2tone cru, including mc freaky, twister, blitz & loads more, basically the next blazin'squad,SNAP sometimes has luck & neat, artful dodger & ppl like that!
• umm, nowhere apart from when battle of the bands took place. Now if u want live music you have to mission it to pompy or elsewhere.

• Blues on the Farm is held anually at Pumpbottom Farm, Apuldram, a few miles south of the town. Great fun, great mud, great blues. I work on the crew - try and find me! They also do a folk one I think. Chi isnt really good for live music. Try the Brook in Southampton or the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, they usually have good bands on. Also, for a pub atmosphere, try the Earl of March on a Thursday in Lavan, a couple of miles North of the town. Great pub, good beer and local bands. Its where that guy wrote the words to 'Jerusalem' apparently.
• There is a lot of live music around Chichester but it is mostly in pubs. 'The Chichester' is a good place to see bands but it's not on regular days so you have to look at the notice board. They have mostly bands from the College playing there so the music is what appeals to them! It is usually loud and guitarry, whatever it is! There arent any famous ones though!
• The thing in V-shop where you can listen to a CD before u chose wether or not to buy it is just about the extent of it.
• none got to bosham gigs though!!!!! piss up
• um, rite well, um, music venues. there was battle of battle of the bands, before a dear aqqantance of mine, got them banned, after taking an overdose in the mosh pit-sweet.
