Record Shops
Records? I wish. The video shop has some delightful CDs if you are into oldies or dire chart music. The charity shops have used vinyl and CDs, if you are prepared to spend hours sifting through it all, often to no avail.
the video shop with the old woman
good old midhurst video shop, filled with the oldest releases and almost up to date films.biig iit uup for the video shop.....woot woot
if you like shit music hit the video shop for the latest releases
da video shop
we dont hav any decent shops!its a pile of crap!weve got the good old £1 shop which isnt a £1 shop coz theyve started selling other stuff!estate agents(loads!)pubs plenty of them and supermarkets and little sweet shops
The video shop is the only place I've found - & that's only okay if you like BillTarmy!
Midhurst and cd shops don't go well together in the same sentance.
Midhurst has it's own Record Company!!! In the late 70s early 80s The Midhurst Detour Scooter Club ruled the town with over 30 scooters, we now run Detour Records buying and selling records that made the scooter scene what it used to be, we also have a mod label and a punk label - want to know more???? email us at detour@btinternet.com
Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Hee. In writing this, I feel so glad that I moved to London. There is diddly squat in Midhurst in terms of clubs, unless you happen to be eligible for entrance to the Youth Club, and that rules out most of the population. Chichester has far more to offer. The Chicago Rock Cafe down at Chichester Gate has fabulous 'retro' music. Lloyds bar, also at Chichester Gate, has a dance floor big enough for about five people but can be a laugh. Don't bother with Thursdays; the entrance fee is overinflated for what it is, the DJs love themselves far too much and the music is, on the whole, crap.
Thursdays near Oving. really bad, if you don't like townies
pah. im more likely to have hemaroids than actually enjoy myself in local pubs
o what a bangin nite life
no clubs just pubs
yeh, like we'd have these in midhurst
no way this is midhurst dont be stupid
MIdhurst Youth Club NEEEEEEDS better music!! Come on Ad,you work there, you have a good taste in music why don't you pplay any???!!!
you gotta be kidding!
Well there's Midhurst Club, and Easebourne Club, where the women arm wrestle over the bar...
On the common on Friday and Saturday night - there will always be someone there.
Live Music Venues
The Angel Hotel is doing live music now.
For real? Well, the Royal Oak has what looks like some seriously dodgy music going on. The Chicago Rock Cafe at Chichester Gate in Chichester quite often has tribute bands... *snorts* There is country music at the Grange from time to time (but no dancing, mind, or the Nazi bastards will throw you out). There are often local bands playing around Chichester and Bognor if you keep an eye out for the fly posters. Other than that, the nearest larger venues are in Portsmouth, Brighton and London. We did Blondie at the ale festival though... *claps*
theres a guy who plays the guitar a lot quite well, but the only time u can really here him is if u go to the window, just dont let him know your there or he will get shy! bless xx
lots of local bands, but who said the music is everyones cup of tea
Random Woods Parties waaayyy! K E
da youth club on mondays it' great
um old peoples music at the grange!no where else tho
The grange centre is just about the closest you can go.
The Back of Boy Racer's cars.
Bedrooms only, I think.
The Royal Oak have Jazz/R & B gigs as do their local rival, The Greyhound.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
