Clothes Shops, Shoe Shops, Fashion and Bargains

• Owens cycles , Out and About . Owens sell phat skatewear.
• Rainbows, in the Folly Market is the only decent one.
• One or two but you need to go to Portsmouth or Guildford really. There are lots of good second hand clothes shops though, if you are into the grunge look!
• Forget it! Go to Guildford or Chichester.

Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)

• Beautiful dinky little shop - Art & Soul, sells lovely ethnic jewellery AND its not really expensive. Rainbows sells all the tie-dye you could ever need and the outdoor book shop on Chapel Street is the place to spend hours chosing a book on the way home from the pub.
• Far Horizons, Nomad are both ethnic shops...'The Petersfield Bookshop' is really unique..it combines a modern bookshop, second hand bookshop and art materials shop. There are shelves of second hand books outside that you can browse through when it is closed and put your money in a slot in the door if you want to buy one!
• Dragon Street Gallery - from cartoons to collectables.

Magazine and Comic Shops

• Dooberrys has been closed for a year. A chemist has replaced it.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
