• a place that should be burnt down, god knows how it survives, next to gas street, ha, i'm surprised it hasnt been burnt down
• th mini music shop near the strand is really good, really good selection and the guyss in there really know what they're talking about.

• yea, bizzarly enogh. there are two or more? independants stocking recorders to guitars to? they look like they could order you anything you wanted too, cant complain...Does this bassoon make me look fat?

• One top of Lawford road, run by nearly-deads but "Yes we DO have electrical guitars...." another on Clifton Rd....wierd looking shop...classical music CD/electric guitar vendor. Seem to have themed window displays...marraccas 'n' tambourine September, Drums of Africa, October....MARVELLOUS.
• Freeman & Neale is the only store to be seen in for the discerning instrumentalist. They have a very useful order service for the obscure stuff!
• Freeman and Neale, Lawford Road. Good noticeboard for every type of music and musician, bands etc.

Recording Studios, Rehearsal Rooms, PA Hire

• There is a centre by The Sea Cadet Establishment on hillmorton Road
• Far Heath Recording Studios is excellant , the main sound man is Angus and he will get you the best sound EVER.Its over towards junction 18 of the m1 .Check out their web sight
• I am in a Coventry based band. We practice at Pick n Styx in Coventry. Well worth the visit to Coventry. These must easily be the best facilities in the Midlands.

• The one by rugby college is good
• The Rugby studio on Lower Hillmorton Road looks derelict but I once saw a young group of gothics go in there with instruments
• well only one rehearsal studio and thats run real badly, expect double bookings and outrageous charges if the miserable git who runs it just to stoke his own ego and to try justify that he is a professional musician doesnt like you. watever u do, dont consider using it for recording!
• Yea, there's a "project" on lower hillmorton road, near (ish) rugby college, been there years. Your young, 17, those sticks are your soul, But please, Hit it with da beat,(I have to walk past that place), DRUMS carry ya know..

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
