  • the scotch horn fields were always where we went and also the perrings slope... and grove.
  • The Queens Head
  • (2007) People still go out in nailsea?... i dont think so, but people tend to go to the "ringers" and "AJs"(formally RM Bar) these days.
  • Think we are all being a bit generous, Nailsea is a shit-hole with sod all to do.
  • The skatepark, skaters and bikers and all that only, ie, no chavs. Great safe spot from chavs there becuase there are so many "jitters" that if you get in a fight with a chav they will help you out. Pretty decent place.
  • We always wud hang about in the rose gardens and smoke bongs, these days due to the lack of solids we would sit and smoke spliffs instead, but sall goood yknow
  • rite so we got the fields of nailsea 4 all us drunks who cant get served. but the pigs r gettin gd, 2pig cars in 10 mins last nite! so ya kinda need 2 kno wher the parties n gatherins r goin on. tis all quite shit
  • Yo man I love to get myself some coke and go ride around with my hood up and field will do.
  • Smithys Den, remember that garage extension where we all went. His Mum always went tits and told us to leave
  • Hi, i remember hanging out in the woods. I used to meet Nick Allen every friday night and we used to tell scary ghost stories....he was so scary. I also remember when we took down brown hair dye to try and cover up his ginger wig...ahhhh memories.
  • Why do Nailsea kids hate Backwell Kids, stop the bloodshed, show the love. (damn townies)
  • but...dont forget about the entertainment for the older population of nailsea (practically dead already) of course, theres the "nailsea social club" an excellent place to pull wiv modern*cough* music and sum top totty i candy. p.s. u need to b 60 or over to get in there. no fake ids please.
  • Ahh noggins, the perfect place for you and your pregnant teenage smoking school drop out to hook up for a nice well earned deep fried peice of high pressurised meat formed into a sausage like shaped deepfried and served in the finest local newspaper sheets. Very good times
  • ERIC is the greatest man alive he he is a borric
  • NAilsea is rubbish
  • Grove
  • zipwire
  • tescos car park
  • a great spot is golden vally park on friday night the only problem is that its full of little kids drinking their bottle of cider and trying to get it on with as many members of the opposite sex a possible
  • Scotch horn skate park - jitters and skaters only allowed so it seems or u get dogged up a treat!
  • The LanArena, The Sion, Crown Glass Place, Nailsea LAN and individual gaming plenty of new games, broadband public internet access and a pretty good website www.thelanarena.co.uk
  • outside scotch horn by where the old changing rooms were near that big black thing was hidden in the trees!! great place to hide from teachers!
  • The local delinquents hang arond on this weird little verge thing, some of the more mentaly challenged call it the 'slopes.' Quite. This area is frequented by 'gays on trays' and 'muppets on mopeds.' However this prison population in training do grow up and buy 'get their parents to buy' treved up fag mobiles with 'hillarious' musical horns, very funny.
  • hook up spot?in nailsea?you must mean the precinct, thats where a loada people hang around, main square, only at night tho.. unless you are an old timer then maybe the day is a bit safer
  • St Francis School
  • Esso car park, Scotch Horn Car Park, Golden Valley school field.
  • one spot previos entrys have missed is Scoth horn but you literally get 15 mins there before the police are called in cause your sutch a m8 sk8ter :P oh well, the slopes have become worse are a main delaing spot towine take overs are rampant and it is litterd with rubbich oh well good ol nailsea we can always find anouther place to wreak (ps were not all imbred)
  • The 'Horn' was THE place to hang, man! Whether u just wanted to swing on the swings or slide on the erm...slide. oh and the Mycon was kinda cool too, good memories from that place. The Precinct, yet another 'Hook-up Spot' if we wanted a change of scenery. Wherever we settled, one thing united us all;Cider. White Lightning was rank but we loved it because we got smashed on it, we were the hardcore! So many memories, fights organised during school hours took place on the Friday or Saturday at any of these venues, drug deals went down, girls were abundant...and drunk, bigger kiddies picked on us, Pigs harassed us we didnt care! It was good fun and we loved it, every last minute of it!
  • High street
  • The Friendship has become the most popular hook up spot over the last couple of years, the staging post for those heading into 'Town' or the place to end up in friendly trouble free atmosphere.
  • How right you are! I spent many an evening hanging around on Golden valley field and st.Francis, watching said people (amongst others) spit on the floor! I also have fond memories of cycling down the big dip in the woods (I injured myself many times- and cried with laughter when someone else did the same- it was the done thing!). I can also remember a story that all the boys, Dan Berry, tom Hardcastle etc. used to tell us about a man who lived in a hide out in the woods and used ti kill squirrels, skin them and eat them alive. We were young, we didn't know the boys were lying!
  • The revered place for friday and saturday nights: Golden Valley primary school field! All the guys and rarely girls used to hook up there and watch Marcus and Ian spit a hell of a lot! (1995ish) Or the park and play area by the Brabantia trading estate! Wotch Tony Smiff!
  • The bleedin' precinct. It has benches, week limbed trees, lots of concrete, bollards (yes missus)and an ugly library.
  • since the heartless scavangers relenquished our beloved slopes life has lost meaning. some have chosen to accept the new comers, others have chosen to use sex as a pass time. or like me go to the famous garage are part take is "pottery" lessons.
  • The slopes, also known as jitter city, was once considered the prime hang out 4 skaters alike. untill it happened. townies and wannabe jitters started 2 arrive and soon the once grand slopes became...crap!! The original skaters 1 by 1 started 2 stop coming up the only reason i still do is coz my girlfriends there and even then i choose to ignore the people she hangs wiv. some day we shall uprise from the ashes and reclaim that which was once ours!!
  • Da esso is da place 2 b if u down wiv tha sk8ers like me but i only like them coz they smoke weed and they giv it me personally i think theyre a bunch of crusty jitters 2 put it correctly theyre "GAYS ON TRAYS"!!
  • The BEST Place to hook up with people is The Esso Carpark, as previously mentioned. And if ANYONE wants to come to yet another masisve party "hook-up" night then come along on Saturday 24th June for a massive skate party, bring drink and music...
  • The tree in the center where all my victims are left their blood saturates the soil and bones r use as kids toys yes its me!!!
  • "The Mound", a mainly disregarded place quite literally a slag heap, left over from Nailsea's mining days it's now a favourite spot for youths with nothing better to do than have "bonfires" in it.
  • i CAN ONLY ASSUME BY THE LEVEL OF THE GRAMMAR USED ON THIS PAGE THAT YOU ALL SPEND FAR TOO MUCH TIME 'UP' SCOTCH HORN.
  • outside the hannah more infants school all those little kiddys provide the perfect conversation opener so we start our treck there then head up to the ringers up the road and get enough dutch courage to start throughing things at them
  • Listening to Gibby and Wallace on a Saturday night is bargain. Kenny on the other hand is a is a different mstter
  • Well the wall outside Mace formerly grove stores is a good meeting place also the wall by the church infact any way in nailsea that isn't protrolled by a guard dog or, even worse, an old man/women with a walking stick, and ive met the lady in kind thoughts stupid cow called the coppers on us coz our crew skated that ledge its not even hers its mr darlows, you know the estate agents, apparently we scare away customers, stupid place to put a shop anyway.
  • The Wall outside Kwiksave, This is where the young unfortunates who lust after someone kind enough ( let alone old enough ) to buy a cheap bottle of cider for them on a friday night, sit and try and look as if they were old enough to be consuming alcoholic beverages, but are obviously not fooling anyone!!
  • the ledge outside kind thoughts nice place to sit but stay there too long and a nasty lady comes out with a shot gun (roll of wrapping paper) and claims your vandalising "her" property
  • Pat and Eric have gone!
  • You'll always find a group of young drinkers on the swings at Scotch Horn field. If not, they'll be on one of the other fields i/e Golden Valley or St. Francis.
  • outside pat and eric's the groovy post office next to Holy Trinity in Morgan's Hill- you know- off the perrings!!! Go there but don't buy the penny sweets....
  • Many of Nailsea pre-pubesents favor the area in and around the local youth club, which covers an area from a greasy fish and chip shop on the High Street to the Kwiksave about 100m further on. Those youngsters cunning enough to fool the intellectually challanged staff in Vicky' Wines sit triumphantly with their bottle of cider around this area.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
