• I think John Sessions went to Bedford School and possibly Paddy Ashdown. Stephen Fry certainly didn't Paula Radcliffe went to Sharbrook Upper.
• George Norris ex Magna Carta lives in Bedford. They were a big Folk type band in the dark ages.
• I think Paula Ratcliffe went to Wootton Upper. Also Charlie O'Neill (Page 3 stunna) went to Wootton! Not sure about any others, but I heard a famous comedian went to Bedford Mod. - no idea which one tho!!
• Henry Luxembourg (that guy outa Hollyoaks dat works in pub n fights wit izzy)
• Everyone knows Paula Radcliffe, the Gold-medalist! Shes a bedford girl! She used to compete at the athletic stadium. Go on Paula!
• Andrew Niro has a home there, hes Robert De Niro's cousin.
• World famous athletes Paula Radcliffe (long distance running) and Tim Foster (rowing)
• Eddie the Eagle Edwards opened Sharnbrook Village Fete a few years back. Me and my mates met the head writer on Home and Away in Bedford Bus Station 5 years ago. He'd missed his train to Birmingham. Poor sod.
• Stephen Fry went to Bedford School allegedly, and John Sessions went to BMS. Big up for the public school massive.
• Eddie the Eagle of course - a man we would all rather forget but the pain of the past just won't let us.
• Famous residents have included John Bunyan, jazz musician Glenn Miller, anti-apartheid campaigner Archbishop Trevor Huddleston, and prison reformer John Howard.
• 50's crooner Ricky Valance lives round the corner from me!
• Saw Eddie the Eagle on a golf course.

Buskers, Street Entertainers

• MAD RIKKY! Everyone knows him. He always has a can of Super Tenants, wears jeans and a tracksuit top, has big dreads and wonders around talking complete shite to everyone!
• Ha ha - not many to speak of - just an annoying Christian bloke who seriously stands there in the town centre with a little board and preaches to all the drunk people on a Saturday night - weird thing is there ARE always people listening to him! He can definitely be considered entertaining - well - I always have to laugh at the sheer determination of the bloke!
• Three drunks near the statue of John Bunyan, mostly during the hot summer months. It's good fun to lure them into on-coming traffic by waving cans of super strength from across the road.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
