Knaresborough, North Yorkshire Hookup Spots and Stuff Only Locals Know

Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)

• The castle, market cross, the bus station if you're from Stockwell
• Hang aroung at the market cross. Theres a collection of hoody kids on bmx s riding about all night. Down the highstreet around the Spar and towards the Crown pulls a big crown as underage drinkers start fighting. Watch out at the castle, loads of police. same goes for hanging around in Conningham Hall
• The bus station has always been a favoured place with townies. Don,t hangout there if you want to keep any cred! The castle is a good place to go on an evening if you are into illegal substances! As is Bebra Gardens. To the East Side there i the Stockwell, the deprived housing area where townies live and also some shops where you can chill and smokeor whatever!
• near the stockwell uni there is a half pipe
• Everynight you'll find about 50 moshas hanging out at horseshoe field or Bebra gardens, and then theres all the Stocky bum boys of knaresborough hanging round at the skate park near the 'Not the Nine o'clock shop'.
• there has been trouble and vandalism at the Spinney and it is not recommended to hang around here any longer. Residents will call the police!
• The eastfield estate is bounded on one side by a stream (or ditch) always a favourite - but don't scare the locals!
• The Co-op car park, Chain Lane, or that concrete bit near the old 9 o'clock shop. Mind you, the fields down behind the Spinney, and the Spinney playground itself always seemed to be favourite spots...
• Bus station or Little Elephant PH opposite.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
