Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Riffs in South Shore is cool, some big names appearing including Ginger(Wildhearts) and Vibrators
THE SYNDICATE NEED I SAY MORE!!!!! TOP CLASS RES DJ BRING TALENT AND GREAT MUSIC TO THIS TOWN.
the 'rache (shit), jenx (kool)
dance music, rnb n all the rest of that crappy shit can be heard at places like crappy syndicate n ntk, cahoots but there all crap n full of chavs WOOO THE TACHE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!
TACHE-Only rock club, lotsa kiddies.Lynn plays NIN* Pantera* Metallica* NOFX* Machine head*killers*franz ferdinand*gwen stefani*old school tunes*alanis morisette and she also will play 80s tunes etc*
NTK- dance bar full of Soldiers(squaddies) on leave and Blackpool slags
WALKABOUT- mostly dance but recently styarted playing RATM*bon jovi* killers and other pop-indie bands. Great surfboard shots 12 for £10. too many Squaddies wanting a fight. they are plagued with diseases watch out. ha ha !
JENX- Shitty indie club with all kiddies stuck up there own arses. prices way overpriced.
HEAVEN and HELL- uber dossy dance club. Very good for cheap drinks @ £1.50 alco-pops, 2 main rooms. heaven=commercial dance, pop. Hell=Trance, house.
Syndicate- supposed the be the superclub of the north west but personally i reckon its shit.Drinks are overpriced and its full of drunk chavsters who wanna fight.
Sanuk- Personally I think its the new syndicate, including 5 rooms. RnB, dance, pop, 80s and VIP. All the stag do's and hen parties have been turning up at sanuk over past few months.the drinks are ok better on weekdays.good dj's and celebs like Miss church, Abi titmuss turn up in VIP some saturdays, Trevor Nelson is djing this wkend.
The Tache near North station is good for metal heads who like mainstream alternative rock too. Jenx is main other rock club, around the corner.
Heaven and hell-it HAS changed-i'd like to say for the better but after a particular incident that occured on Saturday night, i will now be a witness in court sometime soon. F$%*ing bouncers, eh?! Not that i'll stop going in there-the music and atmosphere is second to none (when your mate ISNT getting his head bounced off the railings by a bouncer who has clearly been on the steroids and christ knows what else!)
Jellies Nightclub on Central Promenade is amazing!!! It's without any doubt the best club in Blackpool to party! We were welcomed when we arrived (and wished goodnight when it was time to leave) and the music was simply out of this world! What a place! We love it!!! And check out their website, that is cool as well!!!....www.thebigtuneinthebox.co.uk From all the cheeky nurses from Leicester!
The Tache, brilliant for rock music. However the DJ tends to play what she likes and dusnt really enjoy being handed requests (but keep nagging and u should recieve). Lots of underage peeps in there, although nowadays they are clamping down a bit on ID. Live bands, for example a Pink Floyd tribute band played there which i went to see-ABSOLUTELY MIND-BLOWING!!-the best band iv seen in a long time-very professional.
Walkabout at night, good music, great atmosphere, friendly staff.
dance music sucks so that meens there are clubs everywhere
The Tache. great place to be, if you like heavy metal.
The Tache - a club that isn't full of townie arseholes.
Bums on seats all over he town
enigma in cleveleys is THE place to be- if u want a scrap or want to play pull a pig (theres lots of cod heads there)
THE TACHE! YER!
the tache! Brilliant rock dive cheap ass drinks! loadsa good music! good mix of skaters/goths/punks/rockers/bikers EVERYTHING! lol
the syndicate
it is the best place for music and dancing
the dj's are excellent and you are sure to enjoy yourself
the revolving dancefloor is ace although not recommended when your a few sheets to the wind lol. the price of drinks is a little on the dear side and can cost you anything from £30-£50pp for a night out but what the hell it's worth it,
although the admission price can vary depending on which dj is playing, but i have never paid no more than £10, this club offers a good nite out
the syndicate has just opened in the old A.B.C. 5,000 capacity. check it out. owned by Mike Norwind of main street fame. all the best mike.
Waterfront - Everyone goes here. Best nights are really Thursday and Tuesday cos its mainly locals. Weekends are good too but very very busy. 2 floors. 1 cheesey 1 dance.
Heaven & Hell - Hardly anyone goes here anymore bit of a young dossy crowd these days.
The syndicate! - A brand new huge superclub opening soon in the place of the old ABC on Church Street. Expect amazing sound, lights, and some of the best djs in the world
The Tache rules as a club...great music and cheap drinks(although someone stole my t-shirt a few weeks ago....grrrrr!!!!!!)...also Jenks is v.cool for a more funky night out!!!
I wouldn't go into a club in Blackpool again,,, drinks/admission charges too steep. Bouncers are fuckin' hooligans. Too many drug pushers.
alace is okay on fridays, waterfront to. but if you want a good nite out get yer self to wigan!!
Jenks has moved again, to Insomnia on Topping street and changed djs. BTW its now spelt Jenxs and is open on Saturdays too.
Blue@what used to be the Cotton Club- Friday night is HipHop, more rae and Christian than DrDre. If the Freestylers are playing you know you've got to be there. Rae dj sometimes too, and occasionally you come home with a free cd. Saturday is top house music and no cheese. Expect girls with gold cat suits though (there's always one).
Jenks seems to be popular if you're into alternative music.
Jenks has had lots of problems of late but is now happy in it's new home on Topping St.
Jenks - At Imsomnia at the moment- delivers cheese, indie, nostalgic air to the scene.
Blue - hip-hop club, skaters, wiggers and trendy kids.
The Tache - god its depressing but if u like rock, mullets or being bored, go, next to the bus station.
The Tache...sound
The number one club
The Waterfront (ex Main Street and Bizness), opposite the Metropole. Main Entrance (under the Palace) cos you can wear what you like on a Friday (go in your trainers and tracksuit if you like, could even turn up in pyjamas. Probably.)
Everyone goes to Heaven n Hell but it gets so packed so check out the smaller places where theres a better atmosphere aswell
heaven and hell is the newest place in balckpool...and the best....the palace is like a school playground on a friday night
Flamingo's , a great gay venue, regular live PA's by chart stars, cheap drinks night, the largest Gay club in Europe
The Bizness and Main Street are popular
McCluskys is OK for the soul/less charty dance feel
Tache is good for a laugh, though lately its become a bit elitist, try barnys upstairs for a tacky trip to the 80s (CJW)
Lots & Lots. Mostly shite chart/townie types... Good indie/alternative nights on Mon at Tache (heavier) and Jenks which has been moved (again) to "The Main Entrance".
Live Music Venues
Riffs in South Shore is cool, some big names appearing including Ginger(Wildhearts) and Vibrators
blue room obviously great place prefferd it when it was just the stanley though??!!?
jenx, rossall tav (f'wood)
TACHE TACHE TACHE TACHE............
jenx- sat nights sometimes has bands
Tache - used to have bands alot but only on organised birthdays/ gigs.
Winter gardens- if you can afford the £1800 fee to hire one of the winter gardens rooms plus you reckon you can get enough people to fill it then go for this. it rules and has loadsa room.
The Tache sometimes plays bands, as does The West Coast Rock Cafe. Emperse Ballroom under the tower plays major bands.
Winter gardens have bands on, the old england pub in bispham, Jenks, the tache, blackpool rugby club on fleetwood rd have a local band playing on thursdays. (my boyfriend is in that band!)
i was looking for live music venues on your site non existant it seems i dont class dance music as music i class i as shite! whers the live rock bands i might not go to blackpool after all vghghjhKHK..l:JKLLHLKJHNJcouple of pubs - Royal Oak in Poulton, The Vic in St Annes, Crescent Pub in St Annes,
biggar bands , lol , we had the white stripes play at the winter gardens once and hopefully never again
the winter gardens where all the usless waste of space actors come because no one goes there
THE TACHE
the blue room sat 20th dec 2003 the last ever pink torpedoes gig! get down it will be a laugh!!
mr q's in bispham has some really ace bands playing on friday/saturday evenings
Winter Gardens
Marine Hall
Live bands at the tache and jenks
Various bands play at the Winter Gardens -Pulp, James, Chumbawamba through to All Saints
There is regular live music in hundreds of Cabaret bars and theatres
58 Arundel Drive, Poulton le Fylde. Home and venue of the famous 'Raymonds'. A band of extreme talent and much potential. Definately worth a listen to. Hotly tipped to become household names.
Tache has shitty metal now and again. A few big names play the Tower Ballroom occasionally; e.g. Bjork '94, Portishead '95.
Cinemas
odeon great place staff are brill i know a few of them just hate that spinny machine looks so easy to play never win anything though lol
the nu one in cleveleys open soon
Odeon at the mo but the new 1 that'sbeing built on the prom
Odeon, Rigby rd, just like any other Odeon really.
ODEON- is really good cinema although i do miss the shitty ABC (damn you syndicate) cos it was in centre of town and sooooo damn cheap.. ha!
the odeon has about 12 screens and loadsa overpriced chocolate and popcorn for those with sweet teeth. tickets are about £5.50 (rip off merchants) personally if your not bothered about the big screen then wait til it comes out in Blockbuster.. ha! cheaper at £3.50
The Odeon's the only place, it's great though.
the odeon is a nice cinema, it has the swift hound (pub with resturaunt), fankie and bennys and a macdonalds in the complex. So its great to go for a drink, watch a film then grab sumthin to eat afterwards (or which ever order u choose). However the odeon is quite expensive-they put the price up again to £5.50 an adult. But joy! if ur a student and u show ur student card u can get in for around £3.90-4.40 (they change the prices a bit)
odeon
one on the huge retail park bloody expensive and shows shite anyway
B'pool Odeon. Its fine n easy to get to
errrrrr... Odean,Odean or Odean...hmmm tough decision.....
Not much fuckin' choice really,,the Odeon,,,or the Odeon,,or you could try the Odeon,,,
ABC no longer exists
New Odean is v.good bit out of the way though....currently redeveloping that whole area so getting better.
Odeon- near the pleasure beach
Loads in town if you like that sort of thing, many huge sites
being developed at the moment.
The new Odeon is amazing. Nice digital surround sound, big screens, comfy seats, cool cup holders. Bit expensive though. Not in a very attravtive area either.
The new Odeon rocks
A new ten screen cinema will be opening in Rigby Road.
A new 10 Screen Multiplex is about to open as well as two, three screen cinemas already here
Good selection of cinemas etc (cos of the tourists).
