Skateboarding Spots

  • Don't like skateboarding but for all those who do skate,i feel sorry for all you guys...The Skatepark Is Diabolically poor.........Council should fund that and not eyesores like the bandstand
  • There is an ok gap in the new street car park, opposite the horse and jockey, bit rough though, also a fairly large grass gap in the industrial estate, but there is often things in the way, like skips and other such annoying obstacles. oh and by the way, the dumbass crew, you don't own brandon carpark, your not worthy.
  • the parks bein re done, we got the new driveway, but its to big, but were gettin, i think about another £4.500 from the council, good but not great considerin ledbury just got 46 grand!!! but a decent rail and some kinda ramp, thatll be nice
  • Oh no! Something's goin on at the skate park near the river off wilton roundabout; one of the big sections of the park that is used for just riding on or grinding down has vanished- the driveway!! No one I know has any idea where it vanished to or why so if anyone has more info than me please share it. There is also a big rumour rife of a new revamp of the park, some of the parts have been partially fixed but as yet im not sure who by. If it is the council though that could be good news cuz it could mean they are recognizing the appalling state of the park and are doing something. Finally! So if ur lookin for spots the park cud get a whole load better soon.
  • There is a skatepark near the river and sports fields, which is pretty bashed by the local kevs and scals. The Larrupez (or however you wanna spell it) Center is pretty good, 4 set behind it that I've got kicked off a couple of times. Market house has got good stairs but it's a bit of a bust. Car park behind Brandon Tool hire is decent; manny pad, waxed kerb. And the Ashfield Primary School's okay and so is the High school. And by the way, the Dumbass Crew are a bit stupid thinking they own these spots. They're all a load of newbie skaters in year ten, they should respect some of the older and much, much better skaters. Most of the year eights are almost or just as good (if not then better)than 'em and two or three of the year sevens. From a real skater who the dumbass crew see all the time but never know who he is.
  • hey i kno some secret spots follow the posse of older people, soon to be covered in knit wear.....also ashfield is good if u want to boardslide a bench over and over again...which is fun...but if u want really skating head to hereford
  • hey im grant from the dumbass crew an i wanna know who this is i why there talkin bout us also to add to the spots theres the raised bit at the larrapez for grinding, the 4 step round the back, brandons are place an its real good the suface is good an the curb is good also, schools pretty good for learning to ollie off steps (its just a 2 step) and to introduce the dumbass crew its grant, josh, joe, ted, jason and kinda toby and dan
  • There is a skate park down near the river somewhere.
  • The School cos the surface is great and thes a 2 set!!, brandon curb n the brandon gap basically, Youth center and thats about it................(spots owend by the Dumbass crew)
  • car park near electrical shop, sweet drop and gap about 3ft high near electrical shop, nice 5,7 and 4 by the market place, gap in one of the pub car parks - can't remember its name, skatepark - one rail, driveway, 2 small 1/4,s one huge one and a jumpbox plus rail and transfer
  • places where Skate boards are seen regularly, apart from the skatepark, is the supermarket car parks , usually during peak shopping time, and the main high streets on sat. morning, again during peak shopping time.
  • the skate park, safeway carpark,
  • theres a new skate park down by the river which looks pretty good, however as i said earlier i dont skate so i dont know how good.
  • massive skate ramp + a paradise for bikers .kilcot 10 mins out of ross towards newent privately owned but all welcome. largest ramp in the area + more
  • Skate park by River. Half pipe Quater pipes Rail Fun box Drive Way RAD SKATEPARK

Skateboard Shops

  • Bamboozle or whatever it is......quality shop!
  • Bamboozled are a little bit overpriced on the decks but they're alright. Naked sell a few okay skate shoes. Clubsport sell cheap setups, not really a good idea.
  • Bamboozled and clubsport for clothes sometimes...dont touch there setups...ooooooooooh
  • hi just stumbled acorss your site, and noticed that you said the video shop sells skate stuff. Des (the tall skinhead guy who works/manages the video shop) is my step-dad type-thing and i thought i should say really that we dont sell skate stuff anymore. thought this could help you keep your site up-to-date.

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about ruislip. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in ruislip.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
