no Maidenhead residents, really. Terry Wogan used to live in Bray. Rolf Harris was rumoured to live on the same estate, and he's been known to do school events in the town. Cookham (a bit outside maidenhead) residents include Ulrika Jonssen, Timmy Mallet and Carol Vorderman.

Supposedly Gaz from supergrass is an ex-Maidonian. I have personally sold groceries to Ulrika-ka-ka-ka-ka, Tim Brook-Taylor, Chris Rea and...gasp ... TIMMY MALLET (okay okay, so they all live in Cookham, but it's near enough.)
There are so many celebs that live locally, Rolfy, Mike Parkinson (what a nice man!), Carol '2+2=4' Vorderman, and many others. Some stars even travel from far away to visit us. Jimmy Corkhill from Brookie was spotted checking out the town centre a few weeks ago.
Too many to name, all living in or around the town, Timmy 'the tosser' Mallet being one and Ulrika Jonsson (lovely girl!) another.
Rolf 'Can you guess what it is yet' Harris lives here, along with Carol 'If I was only ten years older, you'd be mine' Vorderman.

Charlie!!!!!!! The town drunk. He's harmless, but quite entertaining when he's sitting on a bench and singing at people. Rumour is that he used to be a boxer..... apparently not a very good one.
TESCO subway near the new market
A man with no teeth and a Scottish accent, who hasn't moved from his spot in the last 2 years.Day or night.Personally i find this quite entertaining.
"The Colonel" as he liked to be known, spoke like the queen of england and actually had a monacle in his eye. Drunk 24/7 and wasn't allowed anywhere apart from the Swan Vaults where I used to let him and all his mates in every day.......hello Colonel,Basher,Malcolm,Mike and my sweetheart who was a gentleman Tom.
Townies are always entertaining. there's possibly no-one else who could stand outside macdonalds for that long in the blistering cold.
There's a Man purporting to be a Frenchman who stands on Bridge Road EVERY saturday with Onions around his neck, the Beret, the bike full of onions. Selling onions!
I kid you not, its a site i tell you.
Quite a few cool ones. The guys with the pan pipes have to be seen/heard.
Not bad, but can get a bit monotonous at times!
The most infamous street entertainer of all - CHARLIE. He always brings a smile to your face when you see him wandering VERY merrily through the streets declaring profound statements to all the females.. We love you Charlie!!
Bloke who plays the guitar underneath the underpass between the Market and Castle Hill - He rules!!
The buskers are the best thing about Maidenhead... string quartets and flautists. None of your out of tune one man bands here!
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
