Computer and Games Shops

  • Chips and fusion are both horrible over priced shops, go to Bradford to Cex or Gamestation so much cheaper its ridiculous, chips have propa old games at like 25-30 quid still and give naff all wen u trade ur games, fusion isnt much better but they got a sale on at moment probs cos they never sell owt and iv never seen anyone in there ever. Skipton is for old ppl anyways so no wonder there both shit shops, its a place where ppl go to die
  • FUSION NO GAMEZ! LOL. WERS ALL THE GAMES? MORE PHONES AND DVDS THAN GAMEZ
  • THE GAME SHOPS IN SKIPTON ARE NOT ALL THAT BAD, THEY BOTH HAVE NEARLY 10 YRS OF TRADING EXPERIENCE BETWEEN THEM.. JUST PAY THEM A VISIT AND PASS YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT ON THEM.. CHIPS HAVE A NICE SELECTION OF GAMES AND IS A WELL PRESENTED SHOP.. FUSION GAMEZ HAS EXPANDED INTO THE MOBILE PHONE FIELD AS WELL AS GAMES AND ARE OFFERING VARIOUS SERVICES FROM PRE-OWNED MOBILES, UNLOCKING, REPAIRS, ACCESORIES..
  • CHIPS N FUSION GAMEZ ARE BOTH SHIT SHOPS
  • FUSION GAMEZ IS SHIT! THEY HAVE LIKE NO STOCK AT ALL AND YES YOUR RIGHT, THE SHOP SMELLS REAL BAD.
  • BOTH CHIPS AND FUSION GAMEZ BOTH SUCK. WE NEED ANOTHER GAMES SHOP IN SKIPTON. A PROPER GAMES SHOP. IF U WANT A GAME, CATCH A TRAIN TO KEIGHLEY, THERES ABOUT 4 OR 5 GAMES SHOPS THERE....
  • Fusion Gamez has taken over...............THE BEST!
  • Chip's is an excellent shop to say that it is in Skipton. It sells Games, DVD's and collectable figures such as Movie Maniacs etc.... Profile 2000 across from the co-op is a great PC specialist business, the staff really know what they are talking about and you feel that you can trust them un-like other places such as PC World (Not in Skipton). (01/05/2003)
  • chips on newmarket street is cool.
  • opposite WH Smiths and there's Games Exchange [i think] on Coach street
  • The Games Exchange on Coach Street, just opened, extremely good.

LAN Parties, Tournaments, LAN Game Cafes, WiFi Meets, PSP/DS Meets

  • I HEAR GAMESTATION IS COMING 2 SKIPTON........CANT WAIT!!!!

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Skipton. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Skipton.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
