Skateboarding Spots

• Great shop on high street which sells skateboards and designer clothes to look good on them called Ameboa
• The skate park
• Visit the skatepark at the top of airville park, then when you get bored head into airville school for some ace ledges and various stairsets
• already said but in the wrong god damned colomn
• If you're into street i'd recommend morrisons carpark/outside the majestrates court. The skatepark is ok but it's forever full of bmxers!

• Pitch n Putt 12 holer in Aireville Park - presume it's still there!

• Skipton has a brand new skatepark, built autumn 98. 3 way concrete hip with seriously overhanging coping, lots of ledges and 2, 2ft high spines!
• Skipton has a thriving skateboarding scene, honestly! Well, actually this scene consists of me and three of my friends sessioning the local car parks, especially Morrisons...

Skateboard Shops

• The skate shop Amoeba on the corner of swadford st & keighley rd has changed its colour from red to purple & green - you can't miss it!! its now starting to sell DC's, Vans, Volcom, Fox and some other really cool brands. Worth looking at!!
• amoeba on the corner of keighley road & swadford street has new management and has some new brands like 'Volcom'! the manager would like skaters to call in and tell him what they what.
• amoeba is a small skate shop on the corner of swadford street and keighley road, skipton - near to global video and woolworths - red signs which you cant miss! they are launching an on-line catalogue web address will be amoeba-direct.co.uk and there will be a section for local skaters.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
