• Puhh! Oh there was Rogues I think for a wee bit.
• There are a few clothes shops but they are mainly aimed at the "older" age group.
• One of the best shoe shops in Britain. (Clark's).

Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)

• "The Ropery Craft Centre" located in the old rope factory buildings at the end of Proudfoot's carpark, selling pots and sculptures for stupidly high prices.
• Try the 'ropewalk' (old ropery building) lots of modern stuff with modern prices..
• ony one i can think of is the rope walk down near proudfoots supermarket.
• I thin there were a few lentil weavers and such like in town, but the greast Miles Hopper the bird artist is one such, the best in his field I reckon.
• Ropewalk Art Gallery is an interesting place down by Proudfoots supermarket. It provides a history of Barton and then leads you into a beautiful art gallery. They also offer courses.
• Barton Arts Week is at the end of June / begining of July. Loads of things to see for all tastes

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
