go skate down at skaty across from the boatmans rest
The big slide in the main park. Just make sure there's no kids around.
darn at sk8i...near pit pound, nar thats just a laugh. alothough no1 seems to use it as a sk8i, more of a bike ramp..its funny as owt, but watch it coz all boy racers mish darn there, and you might just get run over by a niked car, and if our lucky help burn it out.

we have a skateboard park in royston welfare park, royston, barnsley, s.yorkshire
also xscape run skateboard/roller blade comps 3 sundays [comp-semi final-final] through june and july with all day events going on around the building. thinking of organising our skateboarders a trip to this event. they have live music, bands, bbq and family fun it's near castleford freeport. would be a good one to put on your list for the more adventurous boarders and bladers if not already on.
park street school has a decent 4 set and a big 3 with a gnarly ledge at 4 feet high. beware the idol minds sk8 team as they rule this spot and wombwell in general
in wombwell there is an OK park at the top of hough lane. its got sum rails, 2 quarters, a fun box and a mini ramp. theres a 3 set and a 5 set up a road along the high street thats usually covered in glass! train station carpark if ur a curb skater (cough cough)
The best place to sk8 in and around Athersley and New lodge is behind the New lodge club on Wakfield road. 5 walls to jump and a wicked wax patch, But the owners try and kick you out but anrnt alloud cos the ground id the building behind it if u visit this spot u will c it.
market...but we get kicked out for building ramp-to-rails and we get chased by the police
They just opened a small but OK skate park in Kendray...
Erm Check out the metal Benches over the road to the co-op / post office. My Rail!! but u cant come to my house
As i am one of the founders of the Regents carpark i would really appreciate it if skaters of a small size would actually skate and not make the place so fukkin crowded people need to skate freely !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT MANY GOOD SPOTS ABOUT NOW, BUT AS I SAID THE PARK AS IMPROVED HEAPS & DONT KNOCK kENDRAY BUT ITS GETTING SOME GREAT AREAS FOR KIDS..
Town Hall steps, around Alhambra shopping centre and the pedestrian area opersite Livingstons night club. Nothing fantastic but if you are on a BMX/Trials bike then their are plenty of steps and walls to practice all over the town centre.
methodist church in cudworth has some gud waxed curbs and a stair set
townhall steps are the best place in barnsley for skating, and there is a few skate parks around the grimethorpe area but if you go there you are likly to get killed so dont.

The carparks just off Regent Street, theres always loads of people ther when the cars have gone.
Right, one spot has been missed from here, its pretty cool actually, Wilthorpe Primary school, just at the bottom of Greenfoot lane, near Yogi's. Theres a massive Manual pad/Gap, a 2 set, perfect for beginners, a 6 set, which has a weird landing, its pretty cool to skate, but dont skate when there are kids there...pretty much goes without saying. P.S, GRASSY GAP FOREVA!
Co-op darn hoyland on tarn hall walls!!!
the kwik save/ rhthem and booze car park is ok, with drains an stuff 2 ollie, manuel gaps, a slope leading down 2 another car park which is good for pivoting on, also has some grinding potential. i only got kicked off once in a whole week, with a couple of hours sk8n each day!
BBIC, industrial site along huddersfield road. hugh car parks empty after working hours. the grassy gap, ledges, walls for boardsliding, waxed curbs, hugh manual gaps, and plenty of transfers perfect to tackle. mint.
Darton, car park behind the post office. luvely flatbank with a cleverly placed ledge on the top, perfect for stalls, pivots, and blunts.
Pioneer carpark in Mapplewell, a couple of basic table tops, quality waxed curbs for lip and truck grinds, decent concrete, ample manual blocks, a few gaps, and the odd shopping trolley if your a complete idiot.
Barnsley Distract hospital, the holy home and 2 and 3 sets of stairs and a sweet double curb that is rad for nose-slides, just been waxed with a new crazy maga wax.
Also the town hall steps, Railways solicitors steps, Pioner in town across from KFC, boardslide block and truck grind spots, most schools and... ST PAULS CHURCH Is a main hang-out for skaters of all abilitys.
Co-op car park down Hoyland is full of all the sad boys that ride BMX their so immature can't they afford the train to sheff skatepark or can't they afford the fare... p.s both my brothers Bmx in the co-op car park.
Pilley has a tennis court which alot of people use to skate on.
Carpet World - a few waxed curbs, walls, curb gaps and drops. Usual hook up spot.
Princes Chippy Ledge - a decently high ledge with a good run up but the landing can be a bit shadey ( Hardcore Skaters only ) it has also been known for a few tweaked ankles.
Town Hall Steps + blocks - Been skated to death through the generations of skaters, u will get kicked off by the police during the week and don`t let the Police cameras see u waxing the blocks.
Social Security Blocks - A few knee high blocks quite rougth but can be enjoyable, especially on hot days ( its in the shade ). A few walls to drop in on.
Alhambra Stairs + handrails - My favourite spot two sets of stairs paved in fancy red brick work with a few high and fast rails.
Theres a few more spots but I can`t be arsed to continue if your intrested phone Goose on 07990927416.
