Hookup Spots

  • The vault in St Marys Church Cemetary
  • cassiobury park
  • Watford Skate Park
  • Outside Gap avoiding the chavvi crew by McDonalds
  • Reginald Dwight alias Elton John lived in Pinner and used to play at The Northwood Hills Hotel, many moons ago. Refute that one --Elton!!
  • yea we hng around outside the big mconalds on da hgh street and standaround pretending to be black and starin at people 4no reason.
  • Revolution is the nicest place, but Lloyds seems to get more people going there.
  • cassio park in the summer (don't walk through it at night unless u carry one of larger-model machine guns and/or are jackie chan), outside maccy d's is always a hot choice for the pikeys (presumably cos they can feed their kids at the same time as showing off their Elizabeth Duke 'gold' jewellry and generally giving everyone dirty looks), also what used to be the food court seems to attract a few gangs of reprobates.
  • The bandstand by the library and The Horns. meeting place of th homeless, the tramps, and the stoners who huddle on the benchs, using each other 2 shield from the wind as they skin up. Also, in Cassiobury Park, right in the middle is a tree that looks like it comes from the Lion King. right next 2 that is a little hut-type-shelter thing. hide-out of stoners from Watford Boys Grammer and Watford College. mainly the photographers and performers from the college!!
  • The moon under the water, High Street, Watford
  • Cassiobury Park in the summer
  • Opposite the Horns and outside of the library. Best and quietest place to meet people and have a chat/spliff/can of special brew...I doubt that's changed at all over the years!
  • outside the old C n A shop, all the skaters hang about and get moaned at by the old people waiting for the bus
  • I used to knock about in Oxhey Village, there is a park and loads of fields. We used to get out litre bottle of Cider and boogy the night away. Oh and then we managed to get served- so that ended.
  • round the back of Charter place
  • Behind and infront of Mac Donalds with the off key bug thing, standing round in crowds of about 20 trying to start fights with people twice their age.
  • High Street branch of McDonalds(7 branches within 3 miles) is the place to top up with the local schoolgirls...dont know about Guts though.
  • Near to Watford is a village called Bushey ,and there you will find a Brill place to eat that takes on the name of the local church. This is a romantic place to go or with a small group . The food is the best with-out going to the west-end
  • The alleyway between Sainsburys & the High Street is a real good spot to get attacked from behind (as i was), best to go round by Yates!
  • In the harlequin and Mcdonalds where all the youngsters feel it is cool to hang around - not great when all you want to do is shop and eat!
  • by the pond on the high street

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Watford. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Watford.

If you are unhappy with any of the content on this page, turn on the flags.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
