Prestatyn, Denbighshire Hookup Spots and Stuff Only Locals Know

Hook-up Spots (That hallowed spot where everyone hangs around with their mates dreaming of the time when they can get into the pubs or clubs - a bench, a corner: you name it.)

• the arcades
• If you were to sit on the roof of Carsons with a high-powered rifle, you would be able to see most of the hook-up spots though the scope.
• Aldi car park is full of goths
• Next to Cross Foxes seems popular,but the law requires reebok/nike beige tracksuits ( with bottoms tucked into pringle socks of course ).Older kids might like the top of Gwynysgor mountain with a couple of tins (avoiding the rocking shagging wagons(ford escorts/novas) !)
• the new townie hook up spot is the track (the offa`s dyke path). if you look carefully you might find that ounce someone left from the night before
• Wow, lets hang around station road with our caps on. maybe one day I'll grow a pube and get into one of the many prestigious clubs in rhyl. o'gradys, anyone?!
• that bit of the disused railway line, a bit up from the doctor's surgery; fun fun fun
• Attach yourself to one of the packs of pubescent, sports casual clad monkees that are to be found wandering the picturesque but steep highstreet
• If you go out into the dunes to the east of the old Grand Hotel you may just be able to dig up some of the ale we buried as kids back in the 70's. Should be nicely matured by now.
• the jarvis household, well-known for scoring and getting pissed
• Outside the Spar at the bottom of town is where most of the dropouts hang as they think that their spots disapear in the glow of the flouresent lights!
• the frith is a place where all the little yobos of prestatyn hang out, and also pontins is a good place to come if you get board, just jump over the fench and then get chucked off later by the security guards!!!!!
• The 'Top Park' is a well known hangin' point for townies. The tennis court's are a good place to see the fly ladies in action in the summer, but before getting any bird;s you must ask permission off Matt, the courts are his territory in the summer
• The Benches - Festival Of Beer will begin again in the summer of '2000. Shake a leg to Wez, Mikey T, Dalts, Lowe, Campbell, Brad, Blythin and all The Other youths which love to have a blast on the benches. At the moment, All is quiet and people are just drowning their sorrows because of winter. The Wez is at brads, mikey's chillin with his missus vic and all sweet. Anyone not from the benches do you dare to join in?
• If any of you have any sense you will all move somewhere else. Maybe try somewhere where you can get a job!
• my flat!!! no. i jest. i wouldn't touch any women in prestatyn!! crabs a go go!!
• All the sad little townies hang round on the top park drinking cider thinking they're 'well hard' Come to the benches to see Mikey, Andy, Dom, Wayne and Fleck
• Anywhere in the High Street
• Station Road Park, near the Train Station. On the Sand Hills at the Beach. Try not to break your neck jumping down them whilst pissed
• The most exciting thing to do in Prestatyn is to go to Rhyl.
• The Go-kart track used to be next to the White Rose amusements on the corner of Bastion Road opposite the TA Hall - you are indeed old as it went 30 years ago - just keep on dreaming
• The market! Bring matches as the No.1 pass time is setting fire to the stalls. Try Prestatyn Youth Club on Dawson Drive - Mon, Tue, Thurs, not for the faint hearted, coolest only need attend.
• Prestatyn tennis club: ask for James Williams, Brett Curran, Matthew Sinnott, Gemma Moss and Claire Blackie to show you around!
• There used to be, if I can remember, a sound Go-kart track that we were never off of on holiday next to an Amusement Arcade. Well I was young dammit...
• The Nova down by the beach, or anywhere on the High Street, preferably in a different town.
• Top of high near undertakers.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
