• Saffo @ Offas Tavern gay nite every wednesday nite 8 till late
• the offas is an absolute hole they couldnt manage a p*** up in a brewery, and lets be honest its kinda what they are trying to do
• Don`t go 2 north wales clubs! the blow... go 2 liverpool or chester! dont cost a lot for a mini bus!!
• There arent any clubs in prestatyn so what people who are old enough normally do is go the offa's tavern for a few first then go to the forum or scruples which is in rhyl, to be honest with you there was going to be a club built a few years back next to the taxi rank which is accross the road from offas tavern
• The Nova....for 80's nights,Golden Anniversary parties and a scary gay night.
• PONTINS - i have been goin there every summer for years. Now has the queen vic and the lunar bar. Many a happy summer has been had in those clubs and in the adventure playground to
• whats wrong with golf clubs? really though, i cant wait until summer 2001 kicks off. me and mikey T are single and REALLY thirsty, so it looks like benches crew will never die. any old timers wanna join us, go to the benches on a hot and hazy day. we'll be there. u might be surprised who else is!
• The Bistro in Rhyl was a great place to get hammered but sadly it is no more and is the frequent place Gaz Jones goes to lose his money
• Pontins has a good bar, the cross foxes, the nova, and also macuallys
• Dig the bistro and the foxes, cheap ale and good music. Aww catch wez and co in Flannaghans almost every other Saturday night
• Don't even dream of going to a club or a music spot unless you are staying at Pontins or Presthaven.

Live Music Venues

• the Vicarage in carnival time
• Bar blu in rhyl. www.link2wales.co.uk lists the precious few gigs that happen, but basically all attempts at setting something up have been stalled by avarice on the part of the promoters or apathy on the part of the public.
• Archies at top of town is alright (full of oldie though) eddie thomas played there as well as David Bowie look-a-like from stars in their eyes.
• Live bands in Archies occasionally......if you like bad cover bands featuring balding men in cords
• rave parties still happening around gronant i hear. not strictly legal but still...
• THE NOVA (anyone heard of the great Steve Astley)
• THE JOLLY SAILOR IS A GREAT PLACE TO GO ON A FRIDAY COS THE MUSIC IS GREAT AND THEY HAVE "BIG FUN" KARAOKE RUN BY LEE WHOSE MUM AND DAD OWN MACAULEYS AND THEY RUN THE VIC BY THE RAILWAY STATION.

• Nova - occasionally but better off sneaking in the back gate of Pontins Holiday Camp - summer only.
• Nant Hall hotel now closed

Cinemas

• THE Scala---despite the asbestos...i once saw 11 people in there for the chicken run!!
• The closest cinema is Apollo in Rhyl which is a damn good cinema.

• The cinema in prestatyn was closed down about a year ago, shame, was a good cinema
• there was one but it closed sigh
• In the day and age of 10 screen multiplexes,we have a mobile cinema that,no doubt,offers a screen the size of a gnats chuff and audio recorded in a biscuit tin.This is probably still better that the flea ridden Scala,that should be condemned,oh it is,thats alright then!
• R.I.P scala (sigh) many a happy year i spent there, unconciosly inhaling vast amounts of asbestos!
• Gary Sausage would be very offended if he heard you saying he runs a urinal with a projecter. Anyway, at these prices whose complaining?
• Cinema just closed down due to subsidence
• The Scala is a classic urine smeeling venue for all the new films (of 1996)
• Little cinema with films being released years after any other cinema with far too little Jackie Chan films on offer.
• Scala, bit Crap, but hey the appolo 5 is in Rhyl. But all from Rhyl are queer

• The Scala. Cheap and cheerful. Every now and then they have amature dramatics or the Schools performing which is good.
• The Scala - gets the films after they've come out on video.
