• the Nant Hall Hotel is far from closed, it is a great place...have had a buffet there which is excellent...don't knock it please!!!

• Confessions: all expatriates submit your most secret confessions about things you did and got away with in Prestatyn...like the time when me and my mate went out one night to and got into a with no other than herself and a couple of lady friends I can't remember the names of. Everyone got very drunk and my mate nicked the keys to some guy's room from the porter's desk. We let ourselves in and raided the minibar, and used this videocamera we found in the room to record our night of drunken debauchery. We left the place in a bit of a mess, really, taking the video tape as a memento of our little adventure. If you work there and had to deal with the aftermath, well - sorry guys, but it was so much fun.
• The old Tower beach pontins camp is great for smashing windows causing damage and basically running amuck beware of the 80 year old security guard, the added mystery of the spray paintings on the walls is wonderful, who are RL,DM,IV,NC,AND JC? My guess no one will ever know
• Summer '2000 at the benches. Spend it there now. When it gets nippy follow us 20 youths to the beach where we sit round a camp fire and get hammered
• Goddamm it, am I the only one to look at this website and know that Prestatyn isn't in Gwynedd? Does the fact that Denbighshire County Council has its base in the town centre not a bit of a give away? Is it any wonder the place has unemployment when most of the kids haven't got the intellegence to work in McDonalds (if there was one). I was born and bred there but really people, stop acting like hicks and get it together. You give the area a bad name, and that's supposed to be Rhyl's job.

• If anyone remembers the shock discovery of a barrel of 'nuclear waste' on Barkby Beach in 1988 which resulted in numerous fire engines, police cars, a helicopter and the coast guard being called out, or if you were the emergency service operative who had to be decontaminated after some of the contents were spilt on your arm, then you may like to know that the perpetrators are still at large and contemplating a sequel.

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
