Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars

  • Divas...please someone burn this dump to the ground
  • Divas...full of losers like Pingu, Emslee & Marc Hunter Get a life boys
  • Divas min!
  • the vennel roolz
  • Hook and Eye. Best bar in the North East. Outsiders beware. Booze fuelled violence central!
  • Clubs.. has to be Divas... best place to be - still not great tho. queens, fine place to go for a pint or 2... market bar. less said the better. ahh, the star, a haven for young tarts.
  • ah, where would stonehaven be without the vennel aka divas??? a drop of paint and a new carpet and i could hardly recognise the place!!!! where better to see the local population (kiff, jappy, scott walker, grog and the rest of their tribe) fighting the world and putting all wrongs to right!!
  • the only place that won't rip your soul out of your chest is the Marine. and its not even THAT good.
  • vennel(kennel) where the farmers q up to take their pick of best of breed!
  • dance any where why have to have a location. stonehaven rocks by itself
  • vennel now Diva's is still exactly same
  • Divas oh glorous divas. A lick of paint works wonders! Its a good place to go if your on a safari trail ( you will see some proper ugly critors)
  • 2 totally crap naff attempts at clubs
  • Romanys, oh romanys, what to say! the only 2 words that can sum up this place. PURE PISS. This place was really made for the dreggs of society!
  • Where do we begin stoney has no clubs bar the legion! We have the pond where all the pondlife go every saturday night or how about grab a granny (romanies)
  • The vennel (with its REMARKABLY young patrons, who seem to be getting younger every year...or am I just getting older??) Romanies...when did they last clean the toilets though?
  • 2 of the finest clubs in western europe have been built here The Vennel and Romanys bith fine classy venues both have there own traits, The Vennel has every young piece of meat from stonehaven in it and romanys where the older but more childish go for a fight
  • The Vennel, aka the kennel, think about it!G's is for people who are really in need of a slap, its free to,its that bad.And lastly romany's,dont even get me startd.the use of mirros dont make it bigger, just looks tacky!
  • CUM ON ITS STONEHAVEN TRY ABERDEEN!
  • Get down to the Kennel and spot all the pathetic losers who cant see past their own front door and never venture further than stoney for a night out.... or maybe even into aberdeen if they're feeling adventurous.... Basically full of slags and twats!
  • The vennel, great if you want to see all your school mates wasted.
  • DofS Club - Dreggs of Stoney meet every Saturday night in G's pub, dress code for men is white flannel shirts with stains and a trousers that they wished they still got into but are 4 sizes to small. For women, it has to be a short black skirt and black knee high boots but they must have at least either a full set of teeth or their own hair (Although facial hair is acceptable)
  • ha ha ha, the shitty vennel where the local slappers and paedos and drunken yobs go and get completely pissed NAD it is still shite Every one says they HATE it but they all LOVE it really, cus where else will they go 2 TRY and do something intressting on the TINY dance floor and the EXSPENCIVE DRINKS... COME ON EVRY ONE REALLY LOVES THE VENNEL
  • the vennel AKA the kennel. full of dogs and knobs.
  • stonehaven-clubs dont make me laugh i mean come on
  • The Legion rocks. Its busier than the vennel on a Sat night!!!!!!Tastier ladies too!!!!!!!!!
  • The Vennel. What can I say? Average age is 12, my kid brother has just found out how 'fantastic' it is and trots off every week with his teeny bopper mates soaked in Dad's Brut aftershave. It true! And you can't leave out the oldies as well, whose main reason for going is the 12 year olds (not mentioning any names!), or the funky Granda who is always propping up the bar - he's the man!
  • Vennel's cool. It's one in a million ken. I don't know of any other place where ye can see over 18s ( my ass they're over 18) that look like 12 year old's dance to N-sync ( no offence but they're crud enough to be served in Mackie's dinner as turkey burgers). Also, at the Vennel there is try a wide variety of food to see in the endless puddles of puke that some local 12 year old tosser has spewd after having a bottle of beer.
  • The Vennel does SUCK and there should be more dancey/trancey tripper tunes none of that crappy pop stuff they play(they even play steps). A true DJ doesn't play pop-also the mixing sucks. Mr vennel man "Get your act together and have more TUNES!
  • THE VENNEL OH MY GOD WHAT A DIVE,FULL OF KIDS,SHIT MUSIC,UGLY WOMEN(EXEPT A SELECT FEW BUT THEY ARE EITHER LEMONS OR HAVE BOYFRIENDS)..........GOOD THING THOUGH PLENTY OF SCRAPS AT 2AM SATURDAY IF YOU THINK YOUR HARD,COME TO STONEY AND LEAVE WITH YOUR TAIL; BETWEEN YOUR LEGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Kennel, heard it has loads of dogs in it on a saturday!
  • The Vennel with its leopard-skin carpets, underage clubbers and cheesy pop tunes is the place to be on Saturday nights! Try romanys on a friday, no underagers and better music!!
  • Hmmm. The vennel..........
  • Oh come on the Vennel's not that bad. I mean you know every one, and em....yeah you're right it's a hole.
  • VENNEL IS SHIT!!!!
  • The Vennel: Popular name "the Kennel" tells it all
  • Amudaus
  • The Royal Hotel has a nightclub called the Vennel which is really popular on a saturday night! The Stoney Bar also has a wee club attached called Romanys which is good on a friday. Off yer rocks at the commodore was closed by the health and safety men about 2 years ago!!

  • always good in o 'malleys on a friday night to see the local talent jamming away
  • you can see X number of crappy tribute/cover bands at O'Malleys. Never been to the folk festival, but i'm guessing there are probably a few good things there.
  • o malleys

What is Knowhere?

The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!

In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor (the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.

We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!

If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.

If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.

Have Your Say...

The Knowhere Guide depends entirely on real users for information. Please feel free to join in.

You can tell us more about Stonehaven. This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here. (But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)

You can use the add an event form to tell us about events happening in Stonehaven.

Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
