Theres not much choice for clothes shopping in Halifax, go to Leeds instead.

There are some fantastic clothes shops in the Piece Hall and on the Borough market. The Charity shops always have loads of clothes and there are hundreds of them.

ACE CLOTHING in the Piece Hall. Good selection of second hand clothes of all styles: retro, Goth etc. Good prices.
Hahaha what a joke! Go to Leeds or Manchester- but if you must go to Halifax then Fanny Adams is ok for young women however ridiculously overpriced. Base is ok for men but the same applies! Oh and wow we have just got a Topshop too however it seems to stock up on all the rubbish that they cant sell in other stores!

Huh, just walk down Woolshops if you are a girl, and you will be happy. Mostly the cheap 'trendy' shops though. Burtons is opposite Wilkinsons.

halifax is really poor for shopping of any kind but epecially clothes shopping
I personally shop in Leeds.
M&S moved down to a bigger site, and has been relatively shit. Although betting a bit better now!
Arts, crafts and such (Anything from pukka art galleries to craft shops. Trendy and twee both welcome.)
Go to the Piece Hall, there's loads of Hobby Shops there
Northbridge art gallery is quite good
Art Centre at the rejuvenated Dean Clough Mills.
Dean Clough. A BIG gallery made up of many little galleries. Could probably spend half a day there. Have seen some excellent exhibitions there.

Piece Hall...or Just Hop on the Tain to Hebden...you might not even get charged it such a short journey.

The world famous (or so it reckons) Piece Hall, a large open air market, surrounded by many small art shops.

The Piece Hall is a bit of a Mecca for all things crafty. The shops around the hall have just about everything from second hand books, rare art prints, home made teddies and jam to trendy home design shops.

There are now Two Sex shops...to the dismay of the Courier who tried to close the first one down...but failed.
Also, Magazine world have almost all the magazines you could hope to evey buy, and if not in stock they will order it.
HALIFAX SEX SHOP
Whitleys in the Borough Market has a vast array of quality used reads, they even buy/exchange. 'Old commando mags are ace!'.
Comicville in the Peice Hall full of comics and comic related stuff.
