harbour street has loads of lovely little whitstably clothes shops like the clothes horse
The Clothed Horse (Harbour Street) Pristine Plump (for the larger lady) Bugger's Boutique (High Street)
I get most of mine from charity shops - loads cheaper than real shops and the charity gets the money.
Lots of second hands shops that let you discover the Pierre Cardin, Iago, Windsmore and other designer brands can all be found in the Red Cross shop, the Cancer research shop, and so on. My wife clears a shelves periodically, so you can find her clothes there too!

The Whitstable Kitwear Company in Harbour Street is by far the classiest shop in town and is well worth a trip to.
There are some quaint shops in Tankerton Road.
The Clothes Horse in the High Street sells some good stuff
There are several charity shops, and a brilliant second-hand women's clothes shop on Harbour Street
There are no proper clothes shops in Whitstale but a new sport shop has just opened and they do sell some alright clothes (if you like that sort of thing). If you are looking for decent clothes the Whitstable Windsurf club has some very excellent clothes but they are also very expensive.

Theres about three million of them replacing all the old small ocal shops where you could actually get something you need - since the invasion of the Londoners.

The Silverhalide Gallery exhibits and sells contemporary photography. A B&W darkroom and studio are available for hire and resident photographer Mike ?McWilliam undertakes private and commercial commissions and photo tuition.

During the Arts festival there are plenty of Arts activities and galleries. I saw a lady who had exhibited some photos of the beach she had taken and worked with a laser light! No it was not burnt! One photo wa a seagul catching a CHIP in the air!

Reef - High Street - The best shop in Kent for unusual funky glass, china and metalware. A little treasure trove in one of the smallest shops in Whitstable with website for wedding lists.
Seagulls and Flamingos. Alot of the craft shops in Whitstable are quite expensive though.
Seagulls and flamingoes in Harbour street, and some little place in the hightstreet made of stainless steel is very nice too...
There are too many trendy and antique shops in Tankerton Road to mention here.

The Rubber Stamp shop sells anything to do with...you guessed it...rubber stamps
Harbour Street has great 'knick-knack' and genuine antique shops. The Whitstable Improvement Trust also has a little shop here (recently opened).
Johnneys art house opposite the Duke of Cumberland has some very good art work in it. The art work ranges from modern to contempory and it provides a lot of interest with the locals and the visitors of Whitstable.

The little news agents next to the Tankerton Road Roundabout owners not very happy pair but OK really what do you expect when you live in Whitstable!!!!
Rock Bottom is great for nything like that

Run by Mrs. Harvey - lots of great (and cheap) books - lots of jigsaws too.
No specific comic book shops but regular browsing through the many charity shops in Whitstable might pay off as I have heard that some rarities have been found amoungst the others.
The Book shop next to Rock Bottom has loads of second hand comics that you can pick up for very little money.
There is an excellent second hand bookshop just before you reach the Oyster bar on the beach - cannot remember the name of it but it does sell excellent books for upwards of 10p! And you can haggle!
