Skateboarding Spots
beach wall
The gorrel tank carpark is pretty cool as its got a ledge and the health centre car park has well nice ground. The school up the hill is quite good, theres a 3 set and a wall gap. Along the seafront by the hotel there is a wall where i and loads other skaters hang round. Joylane school is good, at joylane school there is a 3, a 5, n the ground is well nice. Theres a 3 set at the bingo hall but iv never skated the bingo hall 3, i think the landing is a little sloped. The youth club is good on wednesday nights, just go down the youth club on a wednesday night from about 6.45 until 9.00, theres good ramps and the people are nice so its cool.
well theres the park at the youth centre in tankerton on wednesday nights, and skaters wall down tankerton way
Joseph wilson ind est(could be a wicked scene if people showed)
The Grind Wall-near the hotel incontinence on the seafront.
gorel tank and along d promenade onda beach, dats where my bro+is m8s hng wiv there sk8boards(n bikes)
I love skateboarders but I don't think I've ever seen many in Whitstable.
Try the Gorrell Tank car park opposite the harbour..
Tesco car park after 4pm on Sundays is a popular place for many skateboards as there are no people and smooth roads make for excellent skateboarding. Although everywhere you go one can see where they have been (grinding along kurbs, benchs etc)
Tankerton slopes and promenade - probably breaks local byelaws though.
Skateboard Shops
There is a Skate Shop on Tower Parade, opposite the bowling alley, loads of rad stuff!
INI skateboard supplies
6 Tower Parade
(opp Whitstable Windsurfing)

The shop that was behind Tescos has now moved... I&I Skateboard Supplies is now on Tower Parade opposite the bowling alley and beach! It is really good with all the same rad stuff in there and more so go and check it out!
the shop behind joseph wilson estate has just moved to near the high street opposite the bowling alley and near the skatepark which is open on wednesday nights from 7. go check it out its a very good skater owned shop
There is a new Skateboarding shop in Whitstable, it is behind Tesco's on the Joseph Wilson Industrial Estate. It sells loads of rad boards, trucks, wheels etc. It also stocks trainers, tees, hoodies, caps, jeans and more. It is a new business and the owner Sam is a skater & often has cool videos playing. Check it out!
Free Spirit in Canterbury. Go and see the horse whisperer David.
there is a couple of decent sk8ing shops in canterbury, a short bus ride away, third eye, and buddies.in the high street
There is no shops of this nature (unfortunatly) because I don't think there is enough people to buy the clothes etc. Although if one did open in Whitstable I would be buying my clothes from there.
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide.
