Skateboarding Spots
The health centre in penarth near the spar has the SICKEST curb that you'll find in penarth probs. My Shima 6's GLIDE over them there awsome it shuts at 6 and has a lunch hour break from 12:30 till 1:30 all the curbs are the good ones and i dont need wax for em :O L8rs all
wheres gimbers? sounds good.
we do not do skateboards, but you could try the cogan ramps
FROM DA GIMBA LOCALS...the spot is where hardcore sk8rs hang... we dont want all you little doomers and fake punks coming down, causing shit and running round with your pussy mo'hawk.. go find ya own place to be PUSSY's ..If you sk8, and you aint afraid of 360flipping da ledge, come down......if you cant do it, you better be able to run....
weeelll...probably just down gimber.
gimbers seems da best and dont be scared wen the camera talks 2 you. my friend got scared 2 death!
gimbers and nowere else
you can go down ali park coz there is some good benchs and stuuf there, but recently it all got smashed up so i dunno if sk8rs r allowed in there nemore and also the ground up by the bird cages is really slippy so i wouldnt advise sk8in there- i nearly broke my ankle!!
down gimber is where all the sk8rs r
Shabby's has now been altered but you can still skate it[stanwell road].The multi storey has gone.Gimbers is good, dont't be afraid to join in[station approach].Yes the skatepark in Cogan Lesure Centre is shit but don't be afraid of the fanny townies they are mostly pussies, especially Drew[Freddie Crooger] and Frawn {the ginger one}. you can skate the local schools in the holidays.
gimbers usualy oh and westboune steps
The multi storey at the beach has been demolished, cogan is only scarey if your puss (all townies are barking mad and scared of their own shadow, bullies) but it is dangerous to skate on (too small and slippy (crappy metal no run up) beware) and gimbers has now got a new oap home so soon to be the old gimbers.
could do with a real park in place of the ramk carpark that's by the pier and could fall into the sea!
Cogan field
If you get threatened at the cogan skate park just give them
a slap they will soon learn, thats what I did!!!!
GIMBERS, WASHINGTON GALLERY
Check out the tenis courts on rectory road, there are some shitty benches to grind and stuff but go there untill gimbers shuts!Watch out for the fat boy that comes to bash you if you sk8 there. But it's a laugh runing from him and lobing rocks at him when he chaises you!
Tesco carpark: leadges, benches, curbs and stuff.
Washington Gallery (Shabbies), opposite the library has good steps to grind.
top of the shelter was good a one stage [70,s]
Gimber motors - by the station - curbs, ledges and curvy bits
The kymin park - steps to ollie and stuff
There is a crappy skatepark just opened but only go there if you want the shit kicked out of you by townies
Multi-storey carpark on seafront, which you are absolutely forbidden to skateboard on. As if it was built for anything else. No car has parked there for twenty years, so you should be safe - but don't blame me if you fall into the sea.
Skateboard Shops
into the cardiff
um, route1 in cardiff
go to cardiff
hmmm i dont think there r any
Cogan field
Skateboarding/surfing/record shop could be opening soon in town centre
The Knowhere Guide started out as a list of places to skateboard in the UK. It is a compilation of (unedited) information and views supplied by users like yourself. It is not a conventional tourist guide!
In most cases, the information in each section has been submitted by more than one contributor
(the credits at the bottom of the page list some, but not all, of the contributors) and some of it dates back to the 1970s.
We make no claims as to the accuracy of the information in the Guide - our only purpose is to provide a forum for users to share their knowledge and opinions. So please keep a large bag of salt handy and be prepared to read between the lines!
If you disagree with a comment, or information is out of date, please submit an update! The contributors come from all walks of life, and their opinions are bound to be subjective, so if your view isn't represented, please speak up and contribute to the balance of the Guide. See below in the 'Have Your Say' section for how to add your voice.
If we have helped you out or made you laugh you can buy us a pint.
Have Your Say...

You can tell us more about Penarth.
This is also the method to use if you want to correct some of the information already here.
(But please remember you're not mailing the person who actually wrote whatever-it-is.)
You can use the add an event form
to tell us about events happening in Penarth.
Or, if you'd just like to leave a message for other users of this site, take a look at The Knowhere Board (handy if you're just trying to get in touch with someone).
