there is no good record shops in farnborough but in aldershot spin a disc is AMAZING ans the rock boxs in camberly is WOW!

Im sure there used to be some dodgy dance music shop in Farnborough somewhere...
VShop, Farnborough is the only decent specialist store for music. You can try before you buy, purchase obscure titles on line and have them delivered to your home within 48 hours. It really is that easy.
New Virgin Store- Itz replace Our Price
Nearest is Rock Box in camberly (which is really good, and cheap)
Sainsbury Supermarket sell the top 75 albums at nock down prices all single albums only £9.99 and double only £12.99 one of the cheapest outlets in Fanborough.
There are unfortunately no specialist record shops in Farnborough. The only indie record shop is the mighty Rock Box in Camberley. They have a regular stall at Reading Festival.
Meltdown Records is no more - Thumbs down!!! Best is the Rockbox at Camberley which is cheaper than most
Meltdown Records - Victoria Street opposite KFC. Sells hardcore/jungle/house/garage and is run by Baldrick. Thumbs up!!!
Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
Hey, we've just started a new party night for people of all ages (over 18 of course) who are bored of the same stuff in Farnborough - it's called 'Sounds of the Suburbs'. The first party will be on Saturday 16th September at The Tumbledown Dick - see our website for more info but get yourself there, it will be a lot more fun than what you normally do! Great music from the 70's to present day, loads of tracks from punk, ska, rock to motown, soul and pop. Also a brilliant new concept - live band karaoke! Oh yes you can come on stage with a live band and be the lead singer for one song, prize for best performance!

Quarantine is a club attached to the Tumbledown Dick that plays Rock friday nights.
There are no real "dance" clubs...look out for Camberley
Quarantine, part of The Tumbley, is good for a late night tipple on a friday night, along with all the other regulars. The music selection is of the "rock variety", but not really dance-worthy. Personally I prefer the Agincourt (Camberley), the music is better, that atmosphere better and the DJ on saturday night is a good laugh too.
Aint got a clue....... lots of people go to the Adg...
No idea...
The Tumbledown Dick pub's Quarantine rock club is a favourite for local over-18 rockers and metallers.
FARNBOROUGH HAS NO LIFE, NIGHT OR OTHERWISE.
Asda superstore! its open 24hrs!! (but they stop serving alcohol at 11pm!!)
jaxx is cool
quarantine!
jaxxxxxxxx,full of skaters, in fleet!
the tumbledown dick opens its next door club every friday for quarentine, im always there as it rocks and theres no use trying to get in if ur under 18...they are strict, making it a very cool place to go if u want to avoid all the teeny bopper "rocker wannabes" that tend to get into the adj in camberley. ull also find a few local bands milling around.
Every Friday night at the Tumbledown Dick there is the Quarantine club - Rock / Punk / Metal etc plus the odd Michael Jackson track. Like the Ag but smaller and better.
There are none. Unless the Tumbledown's hilarious rock night Quarantine counts. (saturday - closes 1am)
Quarantine rock club at the tumbledown dick ever friday 9pm -2am.
Zilch in Farnborough really- except the Saturday night at the Tumble Down Dick pub- which is a heavy metal disco! I mentioned this to some friends who arrange house parties and club nights in London and they couldn't believe it!
However- London is a short car or train journey away- Brixton is great for your real underground club scene and reasonably safe if you remain street wise.
Recently descovered you can get a coach back from Reading at 1am and 3am to North Camp- fantastic! Reading is urban enough to have a good selection of cool clubs that don't have a retarded dress code. (Po Na Na on a Saturday night is good and eclectic).
the tumbledown dick, it has a late license till 2am now
www.fboromassive.homestead.com the only "club" ish in town
GET SOME PLEASE! WE'RE DYING OF BOREDOM!
*uncontrollable laughter*, no wait, hold on, Busters ... the Brothel (alledgedly I hasten to add), never been there but we all hear "rumours"
There are no Clubs in Farnborough unless you are 12 and go to the Oak Farm disco !!!!! The nearest places are Camberley, Agincourt....which is mainly for Gareebo's / Grungers/ Goths etc. Or you can travel to Fleet, where there are loadsa pubs and Jaxx nightclub....which is okay.
there are no clubs in Farnbourigh but Fleet is just up the road where you can find Jaxx. Student Night on a Thursday is a good crack with a mixture of Cheese, Garage and House. Free to get into before 10.30 and £3.00 after and drinks only £1.50 a cheap night out.
The best club in this area for alternative music is the Agincourt in Camberley on a Saturday night. Otherwise there is nothing in the town.
Busters has shut Thumbs up !!!
Farnborough Rec sometimes has music do's on in the function rooms. Ages ago, they used to host the Fusion happy hardcore events in the main hall there.
Busters. No comment.
None to speak of at all.
Live Music Venues
The Tumbley, and Quarantine play host to some most excellent little bands, and have been the starting point of several successful bands. Lots of cover bands, but a myriad others, ranging from pop-punk to goth, and including heavy metal, ska and indie.
Again, The Tumbley have some quality local bands playing, lots of cover bands. Check out the Battle of the Bands competition.
West End Centre, The Adg
West End Centre ... Aldershot
Bands will play at the Tumbledown Dick, if anywhere
Quarantine - the back half of the tumbley
Check out certain nights at the Thatched cottage, where you can dance the night away listening to the latest beats (from the 70's!) with all the middle aged mullet wearing divorcees (DJ Disco Cheeeezy Dereck on the decks (same age as the punters))
quarantine - at tumbly!
battle of the bands most thursdays in quarentine, next to the tumble down, its pretty good and most of the bands rock, and at £2.50 to get in its hardly a waste of money!
The Tumbledown Dick now has a live music night on a thursday. Live bands of the rock persuasion every week.
The Tumbledown pub does the usual provincial tribute bands and some local bands. When the local bands get good enough- they get to play the West End Centre in Aldershot! The West End Centre is the saving grace of this whole area (call me biased as I work there sometimes but I go there on days off, too!)
the tumbledown dick pub, some ok bands have played including, a hundred reasons, selecta, bad manners and assortment of tribute bands.
tumble down dick, a pub that normally has old ska shit playing, selecter, specials, bad manners, as well as some local battles and metal.
Tumbledown Dick, Rec used to have WIKKID RAVES MAN INNIT!
West End Centre in Aldershot, or THE AG in camberly, but beware the doom
The best venue in the town is the Tumbledown Dick pub which under the management of landlord Simon is able to put on new local bands. Remember Oasis played there once on their climb to the top.
